Excellent! I've never heard this one, great job! So amazing to see where they went. It's funny how much this doesn't sound like the Beatles. This just sounds like general 50's pop. People often dunk on Decca for passing up on the Beatles, but if they played stuff like this, I'd pass on them, too. This isn't the revolutionary sound you expect to hear with the name "Beatles". So glad that somebody picked them up, though. They needed to sound like this first so they could move into the Beatles.
My tears are fallin' 'Cause you've taken her away And though it really hurts me so There's something that I've gotta say Take good care of my baby Please don't ever make her blue Just tell her that you love her Make sure you're thinking of her In everything you say and do Aww, take good care of my baby Now don't you ever make her cry Just let your love surround her Paint a rainbow all around her Don't let her see a cloudy sky Once upon a time that little girl was mine If I'd been true, I know she'd never be with you So, take good care of my baby Be just as kind as you can be And if you should discover That you don't really love her Just send my baby back home to me Well, take good care of my baby Be just as kind as you can be And if you should discover That you don't really love her Just send my baby back home to me Aww, take good care of my baby Well, take good care of my baby Just, take good care of my baby
Amo este cover de The Beatles! Me encanta su versión, y logra despertar muchos recuerdos y sentimientos en lo profundo de mí corazón. Thank you so much for this video!
The Beatles were more creative than anyone else, but they also did some all-time great covers: Please Mr. Postman, Rock and Roll Music, Roll Over Beethoven, and Twist and Shout.
I love the presentation. Really cool to see the chords. Ever tried to look through the silent Cavern footage? Would be nice to see if you can investigate/I.D. The songs.
Great channel bro, love your work. I'm a longtime musician who has played and recorded studio quality Beatle covers, and really love all this early stuff you have done. The Hamburg period in particular has always fascinated me the most about the Beatles story, as that and the Liverpool jive halls and clubs is what really developed them into being miles ahead of everyone else at that time, before they even got signed to EMI. I've studied and researched the Hamburg period quite a lot, and over the years got to meet Astrid, Klaus and Pete Best, as well as Allan Williams. Love the guitar you have man, some original very hard to find ones. I have the 61' Cavern bass reissue myself, and next month will be taking delivery of an original 59' Hofner 500/5 bass exactly like Stuart's. I used to have the Rickenbacker 325C58 but don't anymore, big regrets on that because they are very scarce and expensive now. Your Futurama and Club 40 are really cool man. Keep up the great work and please do a cover of Your Feets Too Big, from the Star Club recordings. That's a great one to do!
Thank you for the kind words. Thats my favorite period too (pre-fame) and, you know, YT and internet are already full of Beatlemania and late stuff...before 62 we don´t have footages, quality recordings, nothing. Their best performances never were recorded (with jumping, rolling on stage, without ties, the "raw" Beatles). That´s why this channel exists....a glimpse of those days.
I thought this video already existed, I was thinking of watching it when suddenly the notification About it, i love your videos (sorry for any mistakes I don't speak English very Well)
Great video. Maybe later you can upload songs like Crying Waiting Hoping, a version that was recorded on Decca. Very good video, the wait was worth it ...
My tears are falling 'Cos you've taken her away. And though it really hurts me so, There something that I got to say: Take good care of my baby, Please don't ever make her blue. Just tell her that you love her Make sure you're thinking of her In everything you say and do. Take good care of my baby, Now don't you ever make her cry. Just let your love surround her, Paint rainbows all around her, Don't let her see the cloudy sky. Once upon a time That little girl was mine. If I had been true I know she'd never been with you. So take good care of my baby, Be just as kind as you can be. And if you should discover That you don't really love her Just send my baby back home to me. Take good care of my baby, Be just as kind as you can be. And if you should discover That you don't really love her Just send my baby back home to me. Take good care of my baby, Take good care of my baby, Take good care of my baby.
I'm a fairly new subscriber to your channel, you've done a great job I'm well impressed!..most of the chords are instantly recognisable from their shapes shown on the video but can you show some chord diagrams for the ones that may not be so familiar to lesser experienced players please. James 🎸
Interesting story about the Decca demos. After the producers finished listening to the demo, they said that 'guitar bands are going out of style' and passed on the Beatles. Later on, the Rolling Stones were signed. The rest as it goes is history.
would you be so kind to do “take your hands off my baby” or “too much monkey buisness” i use your vids to improve my guitar you are a saint and i appriciate everything you do. thank you forever.
