These people are so stuffy and completely clueless. They have no idea the impact that the Beatles actually had on the world at that time, especially the US. They were the ultimate goodwill ambassadors. Good God, our country was literally falling apart and they brought us music and laughter which we hadn't enjoyed for a long time. And let's get real, it's about revenue in the UK, with their 95 percent tax rate. They reaped a fortune from these guys.
To bad the British government didn’t make it more clear why they gave them the MBE. Some were heroes, some were politicians and the boys made millions for the queen. Each did something for the crown and that’s what they did. So anyone who was upset should consider that.
Is it? Might just be because so many people wear this style nowadays that i couldnt notice! So handsome....also i love your profile picture and username☺️
I like that, what Paul said: like, what are ya gonna do, you got it now? It was just another thing to survive through. Something Liverpoolers contribute to ordinary life that is distinct and yet survives in the daily attitudes in NY, Mass, and everywhere else. No rank, nothing important. We all know what's important.
actually he only gave it back "as a protest against Britain's involvement in the Nigeria-Biafra thing, against our support of America in Vietnam and against 'Cold Turkey' slipping down the charts"
@@tomitstube No, from what I can tell, he basically is saying that 1) they had a lot of other things to do, and 2) he didn't want to subject them to all the craziness. That's my read of what he's basically saying when he sort of said "yeah and all this ... lots of reasons." If you know anything about George, you can pretty much understand why he wouldn't want to bring anyone. Plus, his family was pretty big -- 3 siblings and his parents. How would you pick just one person?
you´re wrong dude, they confirmed they started around 1965, by Help they were high during the whole film. They also confirmed they smoke grass with Bob Dylan during the first US tour
Come one, messy hair has nought to be glared upon. Messy hair is a sign of ostentatious fashion and a unique sense of mind, a careless factor in an otherwise crucial responsibility. These guys were activists the day they were born! :D
Getting one was out of date then and even more so today especially the likes of Tindall getting the MBE and a load of other gongs such as the jubilee medals (even though he has never served or even met any of the other qualifying criteria) just for being a member of the Royal family.
I bet you could detect a couple doubles throughout this footage via ears, hands, and noses. Common practice. Beatles had as many doubles as Saddam Hussein. This MBE video reminder is a testament to that. All actors have participated in a successful Tavistock social engineering project. I for one still love the Cinderella story and the music
