Beaumont, Ndou remark on IFP-ANC-DA coalition 

It's better to stand inside the tent pissing out than being outside the tent being pissed on. As a citizen all we want is a better life and environment for all. Hopefully the situation for the very poor people can improve. I hope the ANC will be willing to accept that they have done a very bad job the past 30 years and hopefully will accept some guidance from the DA and IFP and other parties who have shown success.

I'm all for this Grand coalition. The ANC, DA and IFP represent 65% of the people's votes. We live in a diverse country and I think government should represent this diversity. I do hope other smaller parties would join such a coalition. The fact that these parties don't align on their manifestos shouldn't be considered a bad thing. Decisions are gonna have to be given much more consideration and even though it will no doubt have many challenges, decisions for the nation shouldn't be taken lightly. I hope we see positive changes with these coalitions and that more people will stand behind the government as a result. And if all goes well, maybe we can see the 'Springbok Party' on the ballots for the next elections. May God bless the RSA!

60% of all eligible voters did not register and did not vote. Of the registered 27 million only 14 Million voted. Only 60% of registered voters did their duty to vote. Where are the rest? Why did they not vote? One would think people are seeing the trouble SA is in and one would think they would take voting serious.

The DA has taught Mashaba real politics. The mistake he made was to say he will never work with the ANC. That showed his political immaturity.

Don't let this title fool you. The call went out to form a Government of National Unity. The call went out to all political parties to partake in the dialogue that could possibly lead to the formation of such a government. Whether this was the ANC being politically savvy or not, the call went out. Nobody is a all-out winner or all-out loser within this arrangement. Now if your party decided to not engage or to walk away from engagement then it is on you. The call did not go out for Coalition Government nor was the calculation that most parties would not join the call towards a unity government. We have to grow up!!

ActionSA is still small, young party. Too early to come to conclusions about them. Let's see if they are legit come 2026, 2029.

whilst it's not completely true that you need to be outside of government to hold the government accountable, it's certainly easier to vote against the ANC'S policies when they're not giving you bluelight vehicles and mansions. there is a legitimate fear that the DA will enter this coalition not to keep the EFF and MK out but rather because it might be their one and only chance to govern in any capacity. hopefully those fears are never validated.
