First time I watched this my heart sank to my nuts . We did that with our boat and nitro car . I crashed the car . My son lost signal the boat went into concrete wall at UB college pond in Buffalo . Then I became a fan of failsafes . I think that that has happened to just about all racers . Upside the next vehicle is all ways faster ! A old racer told me this . If you aren’t breaking you aren’t racing !!! I am a 40 year rc addict . My son and grandson are racers Three generations of racing . Fifth scale is the next venture .I have watched a lot of your videos .Your passion for the sport is truly felt .

Kill switch not mandatory at drag race because lots of times they fail and people will loose the race but fail safe is mandatory! People can use kill switches if they want to just like I did and used plus fail safe but this was frequency problem from that place ! There were multiple people that had similar problems on that day not just me but I had the most damage done. There is many people there with radios and also many rc air planes with crazy shit on them plus that place is an air field and air fields got crazy frequencys going on and who knows what else could have happened? Today I had many people call me up and mentioned many other conspiracy’s . One of them was that maybe some cock sucker lazy jealous bitch ass may have sat in a Air-conditioned car in the parking lot and used some radio frequency jammers ? Even car alarm jammers that people use for steeling cars can cause something like this to happen. I wasn’t the only guy that day with weird radio shit that happened to them! It’s all good bro nothing I can do but rebuild and keep moving forward.
Drew's Nitro Shop that’s why I run one but it’s not mandatory for drag racing here . Fail Safe is mandatory here at this event. Even tho I had both it did not save my Dragster! If the rumors I hear 👂 are true Someone could have had a frequency Jammer that could very well cause something like this to happen or even something with the airplanes that always fly there could even cause this or even that place since it is an Air Field After all.

To be honest, this is the exact reason why I have never considered buying a 5th scale. Fortunately you have a safe place to operate your cars and operate them like a responsible adult. That sucks. That's my biggest fear and why I try to play in confined or open areas. luckily no one got hurt or any damage to someones property. I think maybe you should do a video strictly talking about failsafes/killswitches just to inform on this subject like a psa video. Also than mentioning about radio frequency. I think you'll look back and see you got out of that crash pretty lightly John. I mean, that plastic bollard kinda prevented much of the money end getting too damaged. Would have slowed the impact a lot better than a cement bollard or worse, someones car or who knows? The Futaba 7px.. Same radio here bro. I have had mine "wig-out" a couple of times. I was using a flight receiver as i was tight for space. I changed the receiver out. so far so good. been weeks since I've had problems.
@@BOTAJELL Did any of the Spektrum guys have issues? My kill switch has always worked. There is noway a fully charged 7PX would be out of range, they are legendary for distance. warpo007 yes one guy used a spectrum . Most guys use futabas because there known to be best to use and recommend there but multiple people had still had frequency and glitche issues . Could be a few things that caused things these things

My fail safe did not work nor did my kill switch! There are some rumors but I just won’t believe it but for sure No Doubt what happened to me and a few others aswell there was issues with our frequency’s

This had a kill switch and a fail safe and it was a Futaba 7PX remote and newer receiver!! It was some sort of frequency at that airfield because it wasn’t just me that had issues there were multiple people that had issues

Many people have called me up today telling me many types of theories that could have caused this issue I had along with some others . I just got to eat this up and move forward

I can own any truggy kit out there ever made that’s out today but I prefer my 4.0 Nitro truggy over everything and anything else out there for what I do with it ! I would rather build another 4.0 and have a second one or just the one I have over anything Else. I have run with all types of Truggies and none of them feels as good as mine or is a durable as mine . I have seen the new X Truggy that’s still not released and it’s got to be one of the nicest Truggies I have ever seen ! I would so love to have one like yesterday ASAP but I don’t know why Horizon hobbies is holding it back ? @@BOTAJELL With a good kill switch the best thing to do when you lost command of you rc. Is turn of you radio. I lost command from on of my Baja one time. Rapidly I turno of my Futaba 3pv and the fail safe and kill switch work and brake e shut down the engine. But I know when this thing's happens is difficult react quickly.

Yes kill switch and fail safes on ! Thank god the spark plug broke because that’s what shut the engine down and saved it from blowing up but most importantly thank god no one got hurt ! That air Field place or any air field place is crazy with electrical crap going on . Who knows if that had anything to do with that and multiple other people that were there also ?? 💥🤝💥👊

I used a Dynamite kill switch that day and fail safe was on and I lost total control! 3 of my friends that were there aswell at event uses killer B kill switches and they lost signals aswell but there damage was not as severe as mine . There were multiple people that had electronic/frequency issues
