I've stayed in Mevagissey in the past also Polperro, Looe etc but never been to Charlestown. It's now on the list of places to go. As ever another great VLOG by you both.

although fishermen may have used Charlsetown, it was built for the exportation of china clay from the pits around St Austell. the remains of the clay chutes can still be seen on the side opposite the pub.

Thanks Torunn 🙏🏼❤️ love that you’re enjoying our Cornwall adventures 😍 yesterday we walked a small section from Holywell Bay to Perranporth and we found a beautiful old mine and cavern with a fairy pool in the bottom 🤩 there are so many gems, please let us know if you have any hidden gems you recommend us to visit 😉

@@cjexplores Holywell and Perranporth are beautiful. The island with a chasm, outside Holywell beach, is very much showed in the Poldark series (which you should watch 😊) I have so far walked from Westward Ho! to Falmouth. I'll see if I can find some things of interest for you. Eden Project (near Charlestown) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan (near Mevagissey) could be worth a visit. I have been there earlier. Looking forward to watching your next videos 👍🏻😊

@@TravellingTorunn yes, I believe they used the same location for a scene in the new Game of Thrones series too! We do need to watch Poldark, will make it our mission this winter 😁

I don't know if you already have thought of these (and ruled out) or have been there already, but here are some tips (very few hidden, though): Porthleven Fowey / Polruan (and perhaps the "Hall walk") Pendeen: Geevor mine, Levant mine, Botallack mine Crowns Engine Houses Bude St. Agnes and St. Agnes Beakon St. Michael’s Way through Tremenheere Sculpture Garden (Close to Marazion), Ludgvan and Trencrom Hill Sennen Cove and Nanjizal cave/beach Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole The Isles of Scilly!!! 🥰 Helford village and estuary St. Mawes & walk to St Just-in-Roseland Church 🤩

I love Charlestown, spent some happy times in the 90s there. they also film part of the Eagle has landed, and the 3 musketeers movie with Charle Sheen and Kiefer Sutherland who all stayed at the Carylon bay hotel just down the road my main memory is sitting on the harbor edge late in the evening with my girlfriend at the time listening to Ottis Reding sitting on the dock on the bay with the waves crashing in

What a wonderful surprise to meet you the other day at St. Mawe’s Castle. What are the chances of that?!! We found this video very helpful as we planned our visit to Charlestown. It’s been a great week in Cornwall and we are now headed to the Isles of Scilly for a relaxing week (without driving any crazy roundabouts)! We will return to London for a couple of days and hope to find some of the places you highlighted in that video. Thank you for all your helpful vlogs.

@@cjexplores Isles of Scilly are wonderful! We only have a couple of days left and have enjoyed our time here very much. If you are planning to eat at any of the Scilly restaurants, make a reservation now. We’ve tried The Hall and Dibble & Grub. Both were excellent!
