It seems like having drone pilots shark spotting would be much more cost effective and practical than helicopter spotters. Maybe they do. What the heck do I know? I'm in Tennessee, fantasizing about moving to Australia.
Hi Jeff 👋🏼 I think they use drones, planes and helicopters. Sometimes it’s too windy for drones though 🚁 we are moving back to Australia this week from New Zealand!
I do not recommend visiting Edinburgh as it is not a good place to visit. I have been there multiple times and it has never been a positive experience for me.

Weird, the further you get away from the township of Fox Glacier, the more of the glacier you can actually see!

Thanks for visiting. There’s a lot of construction happening at the moment to connect all the various precincts of the city and help alleviate the transport issues. Namely the City Rail Link, which is the city centre underground rail currently under construction. Will be a game changer for Auckland once completed in 2026. Glad you got a glimpse into what’s on offer during your short stay. There’s a reason however why Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, it’s well connected to nature (beaches, ranges, islands etc.). But at the same time it has the most international and local offerings in terms of food, business and entertainment. In saying that, the local habit of Aucklanders is that most people don’t visit the city during the weekend, they tend to stay in the outer metro centres of the city, which is why it’s less busy. But thanks for an outside perspective of our city. Kakite anō.
