yeah, I'm thinking the first one in croatia might not be too bad. I want to stay the night there first though, cause there are things in this world I cannot say are or are not real. I have heard some stories from mostly reasonable, mostly sane individuals that defy explanation.....
For those who are in a hurry : 0:53 Daksa island 2:09 Palmyra Atoll 3:15 Pitcairn island 4:26 Little Rocky Island 4:59 private island with shack 5:37 Fort-Carroll
Girl your city is not a new one someone probably died where you are standing right now, or just imagine how many people have died in your favorite street, I would buy it and turn it into a resort, highly profitable
+Jonathan Pulido Yeah america killed millions just like every other country even though Gemany, Japan, USSR, China all killed millions of people as well. Heck even the Western Colonist killed millions but eh if you wanna call out america only then you can ignore those facts.
Curses magic and witchcraft are the same as ghosts goblins ,voodoo ,and all the other religions they only work if you believe it.in the history of the world no supernatural claim has ever been proven
@@cartmanrlsusall Well, when somebody tells you, he has been attacked by a car with nobody behind the wheel? And he warns you never to mess with people who claim they do murders like that car attack? Honestly I don't know why someone wouldn't want to own their own island... that just sounds amazing. Hell you don't even have to live there. It's YOUR island... so i assume you make your own rules etc. Just hold it, slowly develop on it and sell it for way more in the future if you want to
Zemplify Ahhh that's lame... i was thinking owning an island meant you can make your own laws/rules... since a country is just a big piece of land and what is an island? a smaller piece of land
MysticFate Buying a island is like buying a home silly. Your still part of the country your in and still have to follow the laws and stuff. Just because you buy a island does not mean you have your own country silly.
It isn't free though just to move there... You have to be voted in and they usually take your application fees and then deny you moving there. The FREE offer is really a money making scheme
@@gravellane150 it's not, maybe be smarter with money and you can buy a house which will actually make you money. renting is completely fair, you're using some else's place so you pay a bit and you can stay, just don't stay for long or you'll be wasting money.
@@elongatedshrew5902 He's talking about the application fee to rent. They take many application fees, but only one person gets the place. Total scam and should be illegal.
I'd live on the first island. Do some digging on the side to see how many bones I can find, as well as use my metal detector to see if there are any precious items.
Daksa island? Buy it, build a pretty monument with their names chiseled on, hold an annual religious celebration with folks praying for them, and the spirits won't molest you. I am sure they'd even appreciate the thoughtfulness a lot. It'd still be pretty creepy at night, though.
@@subforZer-hq3il Yah, they generally say that, before they're sent to spend a night in a haunted castle of Scotland or any place with activities yet unexplained by the laws of physics and chemistry.
There are memorials already built. And as others have said, I worry more about the living than the dead. And current price 2 million Euros, or about 2.3 million USD.
I was thinking that too but then I remembered how important allies are how long do you think it will take untill a country with a standing army comes in and just takes it
When you said Island of Ghosts, I had hoped you were talking about plenty of actual physical ghost sightings. Also, 2 million Euros is not what I'd call reasonably priced for non-rich people.
exactly, I know that the first one was put on sale for 2 million euros, and noone bought it, although story is probably true, vote down for misleading title
I know if I would of hit one of the big lottos, I wouldn't look for an island. Too vulnerable to many crazy people who don't care. I won't say what I would do because there are to many people with money that would steal my idea...I would not tell a soul and would just do it. There's ways of secluding yourself without seclusion. I will wait my turn..bottom line is if you have much I money's and go crazy , you attract problems.....obscured.
I’ve lived in Maryland my entire life and have been boating on the Chesapeake since I was in diapers. Here’s why nobody has bought that old fort. 1 the structure is crumbling and has been for decades due to age but mostly flood damage, it gets at least minor flooding fairly often and big storms pretty much put it underwater. 2 it’s an historic site and Maryland’s Historic Society is extremely strict about making any changes at all. 3 there’s no water or electricity and the Historic Society will never allow solar panels etc because that would impede the aesthetics. IF you got a green light from the Historic Society to make it livable you’d have millions of dollars in it and unable to insure it because of the constant flooding.
@@MrYourfavoritesub Typically because while you're allowed to own the property it falls under the rules of a historic heritage site. Meaning that you can't make any changes that would potentially damage the sites value as a historical monument. There are quite a few houses in the US that fall under similar rules. Essentially by purchasing the property you become the caretaker. But you can't do whatever you want like you could with normal property because of the historic value. You have to get any upgrades or improvements approved, and they don't approve much. Plus if the site is also declared a bird sanctuary you have not just one but two groups that have to approve your requests. Along with getting the typical permits from the city as well. So frankly that island sounds like a waste of time to even try and bother. Even if one group were to approve it is likely the other won't. And you will just waste time and money running back and forth.
@@thel4303 I have seen that silly commercial so many times, and it's like a voice in an elevator or something. So the overly perfect and exaggerated sound of that almost robot-like voice mixed with the advice to buy a desolated island had me laughing so much.
Murdered.. both Europeans and each other... despite what the SJW media has u believe, every society in the world was killing... native American tribes were killing each other all the time.. they also raped a lot of European women... every single society has an "evil" past.. u know why? because these things were not "evil" back then @@airwakkerre1861
KARTIKEYA007 Thank you, people always view the European as the bad ones and the Natives as the good ones that suffered, people don’t understand that there hardly is a 100% good or bad in history
trending games yes wonder if you could actually get that plan through after all the reason why it's almost impossible to build there is to protect wildlife
Living on an island everyone else is scared to even come close to is the dream. No one is ever going to bother you there. I'd happily buy that for any price I could afford, no matter how many people died there.
Any of those look good to me. That one in Baltimore is really cool. I would think one could restore or rebuild the lighthouse as a home to live in without running into issues with the bird sanctuary thing. Heck, I'd even get rid of a lot of the structures on the interior and plant more trees. Restoring the outer walls would probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars though.
As someone from Croatia, I must say what happened at Daksa island was a horrible tragedy and the island should just be left alone. I don't think it should be up for sale, just as a sign of respect towards people that were killed and their families
@@Peacock_Beautyy i mean i kinda see your point there but this is only just one tiny island so leaving it alone wouldn't make a huge difference in lives of people. plus croatian economy is fucked up so i don't think anyone would want to live here, especially not on an island because getting groceries and everything else would be practically impossible because islands are not well connected with the land at all
@@martamarjanovic2252 ayy name twins, my name is marta too ahahaha and yeah same, we we taught about it in school but i personally would never buy, places like that creep me out too much
Croatia and Italy are situated on opposite sides of the Adriatic Sea. The climate must be similar, and living in Croatia is cheaper. That island is the only one I would buy.
Actually, the Palmyra Island was purchased for $37 million back in 2000, by the Nature Conservancy organization to keep it pristine. So it's not on the market at any price. Hope the other references are more up to date !
Fort Carroll actually looks like there are a few spots you can build on top of the existing more structurally sound buildings, and not harm the birds at all by doing it... You can reinforce the pre-existing structure underneath what looks like at least 3 spots around the outer edge of the island and just put an oddly shaped little house up there. No reason you can't find a way to get wifi out there either.. Daily life would be a pain in the ass some times considering you can't have Amazon or Domino's or whatever deliver to your door but like.. It does sound pretty cool, and you are at least fairly close to a populated mainland to supply up.. If I had the money, I would genuinely consider that one.
I live in suburbs of Baltimore Ive seen this island many times always wondered about it.Cool video very informative .I think Id get a tent and set up on the island .No neighbors.
Please people, stay away from those types of islands. I heard goblins come out at night if you're alone, it's haunted. Don't say no one warned you about it. Believe me ... it's real. I know because when my mommy reads to me my bed time stories she warns me not to play video games after 10pm, especially after midnight. I once did and I saw my teddy bear fly from the entrance door and drop all the way to the window while saying "go to sleep" in a creepy voice that actually sounded familiar, I know, it's weird. So I may be young, but I'm very experienced with the cocoo monsters that come out late at night.
I live in Perry hall (which is north east of Baltimore Maryland) and I’ve always seen fort carrol. I’ve heard it’s been abandoned for almost a century (or half idk) and no one did anything with it. Never knew it was up for sale
53 people were killed in an island no one wants to buy it People were killed in America, England, etc. and everyone wants to buy land in these places Explain??!!!
Nobody will care to hear your screams, or will ignore them like they didn't hear them here. ...Also. Are you Lolitha goth girl who may be yandere? q.q.
Not how islands work. Typically you're still technically governed by whatever country owns the island. There is no land anywhere in the world that isn't governed by some country.

I would definitely buy the fist one if I could, would love to live there. Croatia is so beautiful, nice weather and I love anthropology. I’d help excavate the bodies myself.
Pitcairn Island is where the HMS Bounty mutineers settled with a handful of Tahitians. Since it is so remote and has so few residents (pop. 50) there is a huge amount of inbreeding. Everyone is related and that's before the child molestation/porn charges that jailed 7 men 1/3rd of the male population for several years.
Not sure where they got the idea that Palmyra Atoll was for sale. It has been owned by the Nature Conservancy since 2000. If it were for sale for for anything resembling a reasonable price it wouldn't be because I would have already bought it.
@@daniel4647 I'd set off some really strong fumigators poison enough to kill birds, then make them an off before they realize all the endangered birds are now extinct.

I would live on any of these islands even the one with ghosts ive grown up in haunted homes heck even as an adult i still live in a place with a few ghosts so it really would not bother me, also you would make your money back in maybe 5 to 10 years by letting it out to ghost hunters and as if some where like the bird sanctuary i would put up a big yurt that would be comfortable enough to live in
