I’m not Korean, but would it be okay if someday I wear a Hanbok? They look so beautiful and elegant, I’ve wanted to wear one for a while. As long as I wear it respectfully, is that fine? Happy Lunar New Year!! 🎉
Eh…it kind of depends. I’m Japanese and if someone wanted to wear kimono for a festival, I’d be okay with that, but if they just wanted to wear it for the “look”, I’d take issue with it.
I’m 13 and from Australia, and every time I watch your videos, I think to myself, I want to be like her when I grow up. you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen, with the most beautiful mindset, and I’m sure sometimes you might not feel like that, but I just want you to know that you are my idol, and I know that sounds a bit cringey, but I look up to you so much, you have helped me appreciate myself for what I am, appreciate the memories and enjoy the moments , and of course to have a good day, ok? 💖Happy Lunar New Year!
I think you look beautiful! I also really love seeing and learning about things like this, it's so awesome to see how different and beautiful every culture is!
I inherited a nori-gae from my grandmother that she must have found during her travels. Never knew what it was before! I’ve always felt self-conscious and avoided wearing it in case someone accused me of cultural appropriation, but it makes me feel close to my grandmother (who always wanted to respect other cultures). At least now I could explain that I know what it is. You look lovely!
