We visited Loch Lomond and The Trossachs in Scotland. Loch Lomond is famous for its stunning scenery, mountains, lochs, and forest. Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park has numerous activities from boating, hiking, swimming, and much more.
Loch Lomond is Britain's largest inland stretch of water at 24 miles. On our visit we decided to spent an afternoon on the banks of the loch enjoying the scenery, hiking, and going on small adventures.
* When Mac discusses "Angus" in the video he is referring to Angus cattle.
We raised Angus cattle on our farm in Maryland before moving to England.
*When Mac said "lake" he meant loch 👍🏾

I'm glad you got to see and enjoy Scotland. Loch and Lake mean the same thing, Loch is just the Gaelic word for Lake - in case anyone wondered. The ancient Geology of Scotland is different top England as it used to be attached to America 60 million years ago and the rock your daughter held up is an ancient one. Your videos are very relaxing to watch. It's interesting to my country, Scotland through the eyes of visitors. It makes me appreciate it even more. I'm glad that we stop people from building houses around these beautiful lochs. They could so easily have been ruined.

You know that song is about a scot dieing abroad and saying to his friend you take the high road(above ground)I'll take the low road (underground)and I'll be in Scotland afore ye(that refers to the belief that wherever we die our spirits travel below ground back to scotland)where me and my true love will never meet again on the bonny bonny banks of Loch lomond....which if he's dead the last lines make sense.....not trying to be a smart arse just a little piece of info

One of the great things about growing up in Glasgow was how accessible places like Loch Lomond were. Even for kids growing up in relative poverty. There's regular, cheap public transport right from the city centre, so having a day out among the beauty and serenity of the Loch, is only a matter of packing a lunch and paying a small bus fare. A few pounds spent and it feels like a you've entered different world. Haste ye back.

"Midges, I've experienced them" - oh no you haven't! Many years ago we were picnicking on Lomond, opposite the Ben Arthur/Cobbler, when we saw a black cloud on the lake getting bigger and closer. Before you knew it we were enveloped. We ran for the car, a Ford Popular which tells you how long ago, but they were coming through the ventilation slots like living treacle, like something out of a horror movie...and then they passed over. Dad had been cooking tomato soup on a primus, and it was black with dead midges. I've spent a fair bit of time in Scotland over the years, Mum was from Greenock, but I've never seen midges like that since!

The further north you go the more spectacular the scenery, and the more vicious the midges. 🤨
