Not all species of cichlids have hiding places, they swim in open waters naturally. Being said, his cichlids appear very healthy and happy. Personally i thought the width of the tank was too thin, but nice tank though. Hoping to get mines as nice...
@Adam T HOW WAS YOUR CHRISTMAS, good? Great! I specifically stated not all African cichlids need hiding spaces, I never spoke specifically about each species, but as you can see, this person has many species in their tank, and if you look closely, you will see hiding spaces at the bottom of their tank for the cichlids that do need it. Certain things just take common sense... 🙄. So, thanks 🙄 for information I didn't request, because EVERYBODY is a cichlid expert on RU-vid 🙄, and for some reason, THEY NEED OTHERS TO KNOW IT, and or FIGHT about it online 😭. I JUST KNOW you're not one of those PEOPLE 👀. MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS & LET'S KEEP SPREADING LOVE ❤️.
@Damon White I agree & respect your non-aggressive or none condescending commentary ❤️. Yes, the tank is skinny. Most fish acquired are bred and raised in captivity. They've never known open water lakes.... However, I agree. Being said, for me... It's such a BEAUTIFUL tank ❤️ nonetheless... And if you've checked trends, everyTIME someone like this post, people go on the attack and it's ridiculous in my opinion as they sit in their homes, looking at their skinny fish tanks 🙄, that holds MONSTER fish 😐. I detest online bullying know-it all's, judging others to a fish hell when it's obvious most are just jealous. Don't know if you've noticed, but now ah days, people viciously attack others because they don't have live plants or decor their tanks like the fish's natural habitat or have, same fish species tanks... People can be so hypocritically EVIL until it's disgusting. Everywhere they go it's what they do, so everywhere I GO, I stand against them.
@@chicky4444 how does offering advice constitute bullying in your opinion? Being bred in captivity doesn't erase inherent traits developed over millions of years. Cichlids are territorial, while they don't necessarily need hiding places, the prudent approach would be to use objects to break up the tank. Not every tank is suited for every type of fish... Nothing wrong with stating facts.
Mine has turf inside (Sera Super Peat) makes it natural tropical blackwater. It drops the ph and hardness of the water and gives it a yellow-brown look.😊
It’s very try beautiful, but it also gives me personally a claustrophobic, cramped feeling… The length of the fish seems to be almost the same as the width of the tank 😳
Although in the video it's not showing the the sump filtration but the clearity of water explains it and the second thing the colour of fishes is so proper it seems they are just taken out from the Malawi lake ..ie native place of this fishes .very good maintenance of aquarium
Have to believe it's a new setup...beautiful of course but to keep that level one would have to be on it almost daily, especially the white sand,.. the fish are the show and it is wonderful to see that mix, but some rocks and hiding spots etc would ultimately make it more relaxing in a sense,
To the people talking trash about no hiding spots, the fish are obviously not stressed at all, live in cleaner water than you and I will probably ever drink, and I’d say get fed really well. They look pretty happy, ok
Most people like you have this opinion wich I like but in reality natural enviroments, besides being larger, are dirtier and usually stress the fish because of predators or competition and reduce their lifespan, and this is why if they live in a big enough enclosure with good conditions, good mates and cool spots for the animal/animals in question, they live longer and maybe the double respect to wild life. By the way I still apprecciate people like you that are kind but I hope I teached you a lesson that could help you in maybe getting an exotic pet
That WATER looks like HEAVEN... So clear and Clean! My tank is clear but NOTHING LIKE THIS. However long, the tank is a bit thin though 😬... Beautiful none the less, hoping to get my Tank like YOURS👍
Must of gotten posted right after it was cleaned 🤷♀️ also if the tank is not sitting against a wall it looks more clearer than sitting against an object.
Beautiful fish, and crystal clear water. Tank looks kind of bare, though. Needs some more rock work, and if you can't add live plants then how about a couple of tall, flowing fake plants? Just a thought... 🌱🌿😀
You should add some plants and rocks especially for cichlid instead of few artificial decorations because they're fish that likes to hide. They look already happy, but this could improve their life and also the beauty of the tank
