I used to go to Tenerife all the time but then upon lock down and seeing the gcn cycling NC 500 ride on RU-vid, i decided to do the ride myself but in a car. I now realise what beauty we have on our doorstep and have fallen in love with the highlands and take every opportunity to be there as much as I can. You are very lucky living there, we are also looking to do the same. Absolutely beautiful and it's remoteness also has an attraction for me. I was in Lochcarron just 3 weeks ago, we based ourselves in strathpeffer to visit the East Coast as well as Skye and the West coast etc. Had a burger in the Strathcarron Hotel whilst returning from Skye after trying and failing to get my favourite burger from eileen donan castle scran take away because it was late and sadly shut.
Hi Steve, I think that a lot of people had decided to do the same and also fell in Love with the Highlands. We are so lucky to live here and to show it off to friends and family, I love the castle, it's funny as I read your comment the other day me and my friend had just returned from The scran take away...I never regretted my move to the Highlands ❤
We just fell upon your video and couldn’t believe that you are based near Lochcarron. We were there last year and are booked up to return. We loved it, the fish and chip shop, the restaurant, the location is amazing. Cheers
