For the record, KyoAni is quiet famous for having the most Healthy Working Environment for Animators. They don't really make that much projects compared to other studios which helps the team to focus only one project at a time. And to think despite the incident that happened few years ago, KyoAni still gives us high quality animation and storytelling in their shows is just amazing. It is also worth noting that KyoAni uses animation to tell the story itself and not just a medium for the story, one reason why most of the times they give emphasis on the character's expressions and movements to drive the flow of the story and it's just amazing.

I hope they never give away their talent to Cgi!

It's about budget dude, most of anime in this scene is a movie not a TV series nor ONA, I think there's a gap between movie project and TV series project in budget And also time, TV series often get demanded heavily by fans like "where's new season, where's new season" and sometimes TV series need to keep up with it's source material

I haven't watched any movie or series ever since I started watching anime since a year back. When I tried continue watching a series which I had binged watched earlier a 2 years back, the characters felt so emotionless and seemed that they are over acting. Anime is so full of emotions and feelings thats movies and series mostly fail to convey

Basically illustration usually has much more details as it's a single art piece Animation(of 20 min) has over 40,000 of those pieces... So naturally there's much less details. But here.. It's details of illustration level in animation...

I am a strong person , I don't get broken easily But this year , I feel really broken recently when I got sick I used to cry because of how badly sick I was...even tho I'm not the kind of person who cries infront of others.. And 2 weeks ago a realisation just hit me that I am so lonely and I don't have any friends. I put myself down so many times that I hurt my self esteem sooo much Without even realising.. I am trying to get mentally strong again I don't know what to do..

Kinda same right now for me as well. I had friends to hang out with untill 3 years when the uni started and everyone went different places. We only meet for like a week every year.

Lmao same I don't cry easily afaik and didn't flinch at animes like 5cm per second, I want to eat your pancreas, naruto, or grave of the fireflies but after I watched Kimi no nawa/your name, I lost my appetite the next day and felt funny weird, as if I'm sick but can't point it out really and I'm pretty sure it was because of the movie. Something kept bugging me about the movie, didn't know what so I watched it a couple more times the next day and I finally to the conclusion that it was not because of the sad parts of the movie but my subconscious realised just how much my social life is lacking when seeing the characters having fun and laughing with people. 💀😀 At that time I used to stay inside my house all year and there was no one to talk to except my parents who I'm not in perfect terms with. It's changed now but I've realised one thing now that idk if all humans are social creatures but I am one for sure.(and no, virtual hugs don't help me much but thanks 🫂)
