When I first saw your post here I thought, "oh she's way too young for me." Since then I have been catching your videos here & there. Now I have to sit down after my supper hour in the evening to see what you've been doing for the day. I am the mother of 3 adult women & I am a 76 yr. old widow. I've always been a person who liked to be alone & never felt lonely or sad. I've been a widow for 7 yrs no & honestly I am not ever alone even when I am. My housekeeping skills have become so much less. I used to do a lot of stay at home Mom things when my girls were small & my husband was in the Army. I am enjoying your videos so very much. I very much admire how you run your beautiful farm home. I just love this apron you made & I DO like the white thread. :-) Prayers for you & your lovely family.
So true, I will say that I am not her targeted age range, however I have been watching her videos since she started her vlog on Boone. They warm my heart and soul, as I realize just how beautiful inspiring and God honoring the videos are, and who Lisa truly is. So peaceful to see- as near as I can tell, a Proverbs 31 woman. Love your vlogs Lisa!!! Thanks for sharing, and building into other women 😀
Not my age either but it reminds me of growing up on some of the things she does. Our family was large also, ten children, parents and grandma, granddaddy was long gone on. Sweet memories for all of us.
Baking in the new apron you made, the curtains blowing in the wind, smell of fresh buns in the oven, with your daughter in the kitchen with you! What a lovely spring day! 😊🩷🌸
Your apron is lovely , especially the white stitching. Your daughter working right along side you in the kitchen is priceless, for you both. Seeing your windows open and curtains blowing in the breeze reminds me of my childhood farmhouse. In my mind I can smell the blossoming trees, the grass, and the freshly tilled garden. I can almost hear the dairy cows mooing, the hum of dad's tractor in the field neatby and my sisters playing outside under the shady trees. Thank you for sharing your farmhouse life and inspiring my walk down memory lane. I really enjoy your videos and your 2 sisters' videoes, as well.
I'm sorry, but I just HAD to say that your 15-year-old daughter is a "seamstress," not a "sewer"...watching your vlogs always gets me back in my groove (when I'm just not feeling it)of being in the kitchen, my yard, or my sewing room, and I thank you for that😊
I have a home-based bakery and love listening/ watching to your videos. Your music is especially relaxing and therapeutic to me 🥰 you make homemaking look so relaxing and peaceful ❤
I love seeing this. Growing up our house was anything but peaceful! I never wanted to be home! In seeing what you do and talking about home like this is so inspiring!
It is beautiful to observe when people find and embrace the good work that God has planned for them to do with joy and gratitude. ✝️ Bless the name of Jesus ✝️
Even though we won't be having children, I still get so much inspiration from you and this channel. I love being a homemaker for myself and my husband and you help me embrace with joy with so much pride!
City girl here, but country at heart! I dream of one day having a homestead to call my own. Until then, I have truly been loving learning all that I can from you. What a beautiful life you live ❤ God bless you and yours today and every day!
What a lovely video. When I watch you, I think about your children when they are adults and having families of their own. Gosh, the memories they will have and talk about with each other and their own children. Not only are you creating a beautiful home, you are establishing such great memories, lessons and beauty for your family that will last for generations. Really wonderful.
Thank you for doing what you do! I’ve been a full-time homemaker for 6 months now with a 2 yr old, 9 month old (with more to come) and your channels have helped me so much ❤ Your videos are incredibly relatable, informative, encouraging, helpful and inspiring! 🙏🏻
I guess I’m a little weird-I love the white thread on the apron. I think “white trimming,” for lack of a better description, adds a nice touch and breaks up some of the green. It looks great. ♥️
Me wondering watching every video where all these children are while you are able to accomplish all these things as mine (5 & 3) never leave my physical space alone 😅 then you said “15 year old daughter” and it all makes sense now! I was a huge help to my mom as well when she had her youngest when I was 15 into my mid 20’s. I loved helping and spending time with my little brother. They always called me his “second mom”. So blessed to have a village of your own!
I am a retired teacher of 28 years and I now substitute teach for my friends in grades 1-3. I was just telling a group of students that there is a famous movie about coming home. "The Wizard of OZ," with the quote "there is not place like home!" I hope you have shown this movie to your kiddos. I think it is a wonderful movie that emphasizes family and home. Love your videos. They bring me much needed peace and comfort.
🎵 🎵 Hot cross buns, hot cross buns, one a penny two a penny hot cross buns! If you have no daughters, give them to your sons! 🎵 Little ditty from Catholic grade school (Ohio) 1960s. Thank you, Lisa❤ Have a Blessed Easter Sunday! 💐💐🌺🌺
lol some of us never learned to sew so just turning on the machine is a gain for us. 😂 Kudos to you. I can't even sew a button. Not something I'm proud of.
Love the hot cross buns! Fun fact; they actually originate from my home town where I live: St Albans, England. It’s a small tiny place but has lots of history and beautiful English countryside.🏴🌲 We are also home to England’s oldest pub (although this is very debated across the UK with lots of the pubs arguing over who is actually the oldest!😂😂)
I sew-and I’m very particular about the materials and process. That said, it takes me so long sometimes to make even simple projects! I admire that you can just use what you have and don’t seem overly fussy about the process. I WISH I could be more like that. You rock! 😊. I also use aprons-I got tired of cleaning cooking stains from my clothes. We had a big fundraiser for a family suffering through a devastating illness recently. We did a lot of cooking at church and I was the only one there wearing an apron. 🤷🏻♀️ It seems most people don’t use them. Enjoyed your video as always. 😊
We were gone 2-1/2 week to AZ visiting friends…and I WAS SO HAPPY to get home too‼️‼️ Getting away in the winter from Iowa is such a welcome change…but NOTHING beats home. Back in my own bed…my own pillow…my own routine ‼️‼️. So I get ya hun😉
Thank you for sharing your spring home. It’s April 5 here in Maine and we got over a foot and a half of snow yesterday I can’t wait to open the windows and let the fresh breeze blow through the house.
IXL is the best. I used it at home with my granddaughter during the pendemic. Half of kinder and first grade. Then, when classes resumed at school, I found out that the school district uses it. I recommend IXL. My granddaughter is now a fourth grader, and she is an all A student. Another program the district uses is the accelerated reading program. AR is a program that gives students reading tests to determine their reading level. I buy books for my granddaughter to read and test. Her levels go from 4th grade to 9th grade and she keeps moving up in levels. I'm a retired teacher and these programs are the best.
I appreciate the contrast stitching. Especially if a novice was trying to follow along the contrast makes it easy to look at your finished piece and see where to go from there
I couldn't relate more to the "I love going on vacation but I really love being home more" hehe. Also the apron with the white is actually so beautiful!
Were you going to put your apron directions on here? I bought some linen yesterday, at Hobby Lobby, to make myself one of your aprons. If not, I'll go back to the video and write it all down as you do it. I have been sewing since I was a young girl, and I'm 69 this week, but I've never sewn with linen before. My mother had a fabric shop called Nita's Knits, so since linen is not a "knit", I just never tried it. But now I'm very much into natural everything, which takes a while to get switched over. Thank you for your RU-vid videos...I just love them, and after seeing you and your two sisters in a video last week, I'm also now watching them, as well. I love you girls' lives, and it makes me miss my big sister so much, but she want home to the Lord 25 years ago.
So about six years ago, I had an ice cream shop for 16 years I sold bluebell ice cream so I had plenty of commercial style aprons but I also got them with really cute prints of like ice cream or a sundae or something so now that I don’t have the shop I use an apron it’s funny I was always having an apron on because of the business and now I’m at home, and I still use an apron for my garden,or my house for mopping, today I’m wearing a black apron with a triple scoop of ice cream on the front of the apron (picture) , while I’m watching you 🍨
Welcome! Spring!!!🌷💐 Happy ur family enjoy a vacation on the beach!🫶🏻 Love ur apron w/ white stitch; contrast is nice. Your love of home & family shines thru in all you do! ❤️🥰💋🫶🏻
Truly, there is no place like home and watching you lovingly care for your home and family inspires me to love and enjoy caring for mine. Loving your channel.
I love being home as well. Making everything so comfortable and the house smelling good and feeding my family good food. God bless you and thank you for sharing all that you do...Sherri-Payette Idaho
What?! I love the white stitching. The contrast against the green is so pretty and fresh. Makes me think of herbs. I agree on coming home after a vacay. I'm the same. I love being a homemaker and coming home to all the familiar things we love. It's very inspiring to travel. I think it helps me be a better homemaker.
OMG that is so funny about the white thread. I actually like doing things like that at times for contrast and have seen it done on purpose in store bought things.
I do also use white thread on many things because I don't bother to change it, but girl, I do not pipe individual crosses on hot cross buns. If you want to, run that frosting all the way down the whole column and every row in one go next time.
I'll tell You right now that green color You use is beautiful and timeless. When I can stop by I love the peaceful way You share Your life. Such a Joy every time and such a wealth of information You bring to the world !😊
Love the color of that apron! And I think the topstitching is cute! When I go away I feel exactly the same way you do, especially about my BED!! Nothing like my own pillows!
My first friend I made in High School lives in Key Largo, Florida and has at least has lived there for 55 years there. Glad you brought more than just memories. Love shells 🐚. Your apron came out really nice…M♥️M of 5
It's so cute! Ha! Yes, it doesn't matter that it's topstitched in white~I know that, but I realized my anxiety was ramping up as I watched you do it! 🤣Good job! I'm not sure I'd try that just by measuring! I've sewn for years, but always with a pattern, even something simple as that.
I love seeing you smooch your sweet baby! Oh those days go so fast, and I know you have heard that forever and ever Amen! I am in my 60s , and I love watching you “wear” your baby! He looks so contented, enjoy this time and I am sure you know that he won’t be wanting to do that when he is 30! ( with my first, I thought he would never go to sleep before he was 30! )
I think the white topstitching pops. It’s very cute! I giggled when your sweet tiny boys were eating their ice cream at the beach, they were enjoying it so much and just so innocent and absorbed. It just tickled me😅. Also seeing your dog in the morning is soothing and nice. ❤
Your eggs are all so beautiful!!! We have hens and it is the most wonderful feeling finding those colorful eggs each day!! Love your channel!! Beautiful videos!
Everything so wonderful! Thank you for making it feel like my childhood with all the sewing and baking. I sew and bake but not bread. My mother makes the best bread and shares with us. She makes fresh tortillas too every day.
I like the contrasting stitching on the apron! As with jeans, it adds interest, without the extra step of piping or trim. Less fussy but more interesting. Perfect!
