What's wrong with Moana?

@@ChelseatheCreativeFox-pc2xz I didn't say anything was wrong with the movie. It's just Disney animated films (Post Tangled) aren't for adults anymore. They're missing that juiciness in their music and story.

@@miguelsonofzeus Well Tangled has some adult moments as it is a lighthearted animated musical that's loosely based on the original tale. And Moana was a good movie, too as it has some good humor, compelling story (minus the overprotective father cliche), likable characters (maybe Maui) and some cool songs. Like Tangled, it has some adult moments. Besides, Maui has a backstory told us how he was thrown into the sea by his parents as a FREAKING BABY! Maybe it wasn't mature enough, but at least there was something enjoyable on its own to make it into a fun family-friendly film.

@@ChelseatheCreativeFox-pc2xz In my comment I said "Post Tangled". The recent Disney films are not as relatable and not likable. I'm sorry, but I disagree. The characters sound condescendingly cheesy are too hyper. It's not just the supporting characters, the leads behave like that. Adult men (30+) are portrayed as cowards or idiots. The music is very forgettable and isn't fulfilling. The only good thing about the new ones is the heroines are not sitting on their butts waiting for a man to save them. Can I ask you something? To hell with it, I'll ask anyway. Why are you so protective of Moana? You're acting like I'm trashing the movie? Why, does my comment bother you? I'm not saying anything bad about it, I'm just saying they don't make them with the same "Disney magic". I'm old school I like my 2-D and the classic live-action Disney movies. It feels like Disney has changed from something for everyone to just for kids. To the point where the characters are childish and wacky. I liken them to Saturday morning cartoons or Playhouse Disney. New Disney can't be taken seriously because of that.

@@miguelsonofzeus I'm being honest about it and I do like Moana because she's cute, funny, and strong. I think you don't like Maui because he's potrayed just the way you described some men in some movies nowadays, but I don't know about men in some Disney films. And I think music is really great (I don't know about Shiny lol). No film is perfect. If they're good, they're good. If they're not great, they're not great. If they're a masterpiece, then nobody can see anything bad in them as they'll just hail them as some of the greatest accomplishments in ciemnatic history, like the Prince of Eygpt.

100 percent agree with you, however if you listen closely you may notice he had kinda a hoarse voice when he was speaking. However, generally his speaking voice is normal and for singing, sure he's not a good singer but one song that he sang a duet with the late and great Laurie Beechman in the 90s, his voice sound pretty good in m opinion.
