I was 7 years old when this wonderful show started. I would stay up with my mom and we watched every episode. I loved it then, and 25 years later, I still love it. I own all 3 seasons on DVD and the soundtrack. This was an awesome show and I cried when it went off the air.
Wow, this show was very powerful and their chemistry sizzled! Just looking at each other brings tingles. This was good tv. I remember staying up late to watch it when I was little. It did not last as long as Smallville did, yet it left a mark on my heart Smallville did not and I don't think another actress can portray Catherine with such depth as Linda Hamilton.
i have remembered the words from this for last 27 or so years, it was my friday night must watch, wish they would replay it now on tv, the 80s shows were the best
I'll say it again and again, Ron Perlman has had some great roles and he can act if his heart is in it, and two of his best were those he did under a mask, as Vicent and as Hellboy.
I would be great if they would find out Catherine was hidden away with amnesia and her young son help Vincent find her. i wish the producers bring Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman together again the chemistry they portrayed on screen was fantastic, after seeing this love story I don't think it can ever be beat, I know years have passed but I would love to see Linda and Ron portray Beauty and the Beast one more time too make it right, get married under ground and live happy ever after.
But Linda Hamilton was through with the series. I think it would have been better to not have her being pregnant, giving birth. It really made no sense.
I was a nurse's aide in the late 80's and was looking after a young client at night when the first episode came on. The first scene I saw was Vincent carrying Catherine down the stairs. I became hooked and although my shift was over I asked my client's father if I could watch the rest of the episode and then go home. Thankfully he agreed, as he was hooked as well. LOL!! And so it began. Like Playerpianogirl, I recorded every episode - until Catherine was killed. I was very upset about that and didn't watch it afterwards. Now I have all 3 seasons on DVD ... :o)
@@danielengel4593 I watched a couple of episodes of this on dvd with my ho and afterward she started bitching about how romantic this vincent be and how come I can't be like him? I told her bitch, the nigga is half lion. He can lick his fucking balls.
Shes beautiful 😍 so is he . My heroes ❤️ can't get enough beautiful Beauty and the beast. My husband says I live in Beauty and the beast la la land 😍 I think probably he's right ✅️. My deepest wish on my bucket 🪣 list is a nice season 3 ending 😢 hated it and won't go there . Anyone?
I freakin love this series. I'm so new to it and I've watched the whole series through the DVD's and its amazing. I love it. My sister thinks its weird but I dont. Vincent is real to me.
I've loved this serie when i was a 16 year old girl...cried my heart out when the last episode ended....(my sister called me and said "I feel so sorry for you" haha It still gives me the chilles listening to this intro! thanks x
I loved this show when i saw it in my early teens in the 80's. The mysterious subterranean world, how beautiful Catherine was and how gentle yet fierce Vincent. Hes actually very beautiful too. I sort of felt like vincent was the beauty and the world that rejects him and any that dont fit in a narrow definition of 'normal' as the beast. For how much could these people have contributed had they been accepted? I never got why They could not be together tho. Yes, vincent cant live up there, and catherine cant live down there permanently. but often they almost kissed and vincent fled from that as if he was poisonous and she'd die if he did. Vincent doesnt seem so alien that they couldnt make love. I guess it was a drama thing and a PG rating thing.... or smth.
I Almost forgot how emotional was that show, Ron Perlman long before Hellboy and Trollhunters as the Voice of the Villain Bular, he was humble, Vincent.
I love seeing the twin towers and empire state building in this show. I know it upsets some people seeing the twin towers in movies and tv shows, but for me, it reminds me of a good time I had as a kid when I travelled to NYC with my family before the towers were destroyed, and I got to go to the observation deck to view the city. Such a great view. I always wondered, is it possible Linda Hamilton wanted to leave the show to focus on working on the terminator 2 movie?
My wife goes through all these videos dedicated to her favorite TV show, Beauty and the Beast. She has a Face book page dedicated to the show! Go over and take a look!! facebook.com/pages/The-Caves-and-Candles-Community-Page/170406759694592
I just found this I am am very young but I know that this here is beautiful and their love is true and better than most romantic movies. I finish all 3 season in two days. I cried tears of sadness as I watch their love grow.
@RosesNightengales This is from Lee Holdridge. Theme from Beauty and the Beast. You can hear this song in a other version in my other video. Greeting from Germany. Andrea
@sameerdias Me too! I remembered the line, "though we can not be together, we will never be apart." And thought I'd look it up. I would have been 6 when this was on tv! I must say it looks a bit cheesier than I remember, lol. I seemed very dark and romantic back then.
This show was/is IMMORTAL. Linda and Ron have no peer in these roles!! I will never forget this wonderful show. It is a show I loved from beginning to end (although I was devasted when they killed Catherine off! Crushed.). I can't believe it has been decades since this wonderful program.
OMG....i dont know why this show come up on my memory today,so i looked for it in youtube and i found this video,i used to watched it when i was a kid,i loved the series so much, thanks
As a child I was forced to watch this programme by my Mum, it held me transfixed, frustrated, embarrassed, baffled and somewhat astonished. The show made my mom cry and my dad roar with laughter, especially when Catherine died. "Thank God she's fucking dead" my dad use to say.
Wow I watched this show when I was 4 or 5...I suddenly remembered this show this afternoon and I knew I would find it here..LOve it..thank you for posting it!!
Thank you for sharing this old tv series, the video quality is so great. I remember watching this series when I was still elementary school 4th grade. I like the intro because its so warm, peacefull, full of love, and memorable
This is still one of my most favorite classic 80s TV series, I was definitely young when it aired but boys and girls i had a Really bad chush on Ron Perlman as Vincent the Beast
I was in a bar and did an audition to teach bartenders how to drink in my reels I yell at directors and run away from men, drive a car and a man bugs me then just stares at me. I was in a bar I have never bartender I saw Ron perlman the weird blacks in the area did a promo one day correct, i took the a to 125 th street landed up in a bar with patty Labelle concert now I am the real beauty and he's the real beast that day blacks behaved. I had to ask the bartender does want a drink well no , do I make no more stares by him I sat down and ask again then I went to the crowd in the small theatre and landed up on stage singing the black Jail copy a note thing, and the crowd hald asleep black and white , all cheap alcohol he had the plastic cup toi and now the church staff read religiously and handed me patty labelers sweet potatoes pie. I have never harmed a child not one word never harmed an animal and never harmed an adult only in self defense. Linda Hamilton worked out could have been an issue back then but she is tough too noone was quite as sick as now all true
