(POST-STORMBLOOD SPOILERS) That's why I personally found her to be a serious threat in the post-Stormblood MSQ, when she reappears. She, nor any Primal really, is not a real threat to you at that point, but beating her isn't the issue - if she got to Temper a single person in that room, it's literally game over. She's allowed to be a problem without physical damage or downplaying us, which is honestly excellent game design for what it is.

@@harryunderwood9387 As someone who had soloed Stormblood content, I was a bit miffed that Lyse and Raubahn didn't just fuck off with the rest and we had to defend them in that way. *Let me defeat her in peace, as I always have.*

@@somberflight I can understand that, since it's less about beating a boss and more about protecting people who should be more than capable of getting out of there. At the same time, the fight wasn't about Lakshmi herself - you're the only hope against an ability that, at that point in the story, has absolutely no other counter and is always fatal. Granted, just hitting an action over and over gets boring, but I'm looking at it from a thematic standpoint rather than a mechanical one. Edit: I kind of forgot about the non-combatants when typing this. Ignore that part.

@@harryunderwood9387 There was snake fighting outside. There was no way to just slip out, especially with the equivalent of noble dignitaries who can't fight.

@@somberflight The whole point that Raubahn and Lyse couldn't get everyone out was because they were being blockaded by tempered resistance soldiers and Ananta. It was because of those tempered soldiers that the room had crystals hidden away that allowed Lakshmi to be summoned in the first place.

Oh absolutely. Honestly, I'm happy when I get any of the Stormblood trials. People may not have liked that expac as much overall, but the trials are pretty much all amazing.

@@84elmer Well SB's main "problem" has little to do with anything being bad about it. Its main problem is being after HW and before Shadowbringers. Its an 8.5 stuck between two 10's.

Going through Stormblood now. The story so far hasn't been great, but the trials and raids have been my favorite so far.

Kind of. I was really lost during a lot of fights and from what I've noticed so far, the same's true for a lot of sprouts but there are also a lot of fights where it's pretty easy to figure out what you have to do, so you just do what you're used to when playing your role and everything's fine. And then come the extreme fights and binding coils. lol

Got that during Titan. got yeeted. then another one got yeeted as well. the other 2 cleared it themselves. then got congratulated for things I didn't do. Another type of accidental death was Shiva trial. What can go wrong in lvl 50 trial, akh afah ampitheatre (hard). playing with half attention to the trial, and more to the song. The next second me and few others lying dead and I don't know why. Just realized the tank flipped the boss towards the party and she cleaved few people.

Oh yeah, Shiva's cleave is something else. lol I don't even know how many times it wiped us in Shive EX.

Oh it does...and a lot of Chinese asthetics in Doma (specifically in the Ruby Sea/ Yanxia regions). Always adored both cultures (granted Chinese culture's always held a sway over me). Another beautiful track to check out if you like this one is Twilit Terraces from Endwalker. FF14 has some absolutely beautiful middle/ far Eastern-inspired tracks.

She doesn't have legs. From an official artwork, it is shown that she has large and long snake tail. It is possible that she hides her snake tail tucked in her gown. It is funny because when a snake is defending itself, it will curl its body.

Best fight in the game so far only next to Alexander Prime (Just beat 4.0). The game keeps outdoing itself. Shadowbringers is calling, I must away. Patch quests here I come. edit; Wow... The Eden raid series, especially the Shiva fight... This game man.

Yep! Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and plenty. While much of the FF version of Lakshmi is made up just for the game (same with Shiva), some references still remain: the Hindu Lakshmi sits on a lotus throne, and FF Lakshmi uses lotus-themed AoEs. As far as I'm aware, she has nothing to do with snakes but perhaps practicing Hindus who are more familiar with the pantheon can confirm or disprove that.

@@chillsahoy2640 Yeah she has nothing to do with snakes directly, but there is some faint connection. "Ananta" (meaning infinite) is the name of a celestial being who is the king of the "Nagas" (semi-divine half-human half-snake beings). "Vishnu", the God of protection, uses Ananta's body as a recliner/bed when he is chilling in "swarga" (heaven). Lakshmi is said to be Vishnu's wife. Lakshmi herself is the goddess of wealth and prosperity but it's not like people worship her to get rich, it's more like Lakshmi will stay by your side and help you prosper if you follow the right path, and people worship her to show gratitude.
