Beauvais, France 4K. This small city is just over an hours train ride north of France from Gare du Nord station. This short cinematic video tour shows the highlights and top places to visit including the monumental and epic cathedral, truly one of the wonders of medieval architecture!

Very beautiful town Barnyz. The St. Peter's Cathedral is wonderful, especially the interior with all the stained glass, very much like nearby Amien Cathedral. It must have been refreshing to have the museum be free of charge but still well kept. The viewpoint really looked sensational. Thanks for the show and for the educational bits, it was nice to learn about the history of this lovely town. Stay cool!! 👍👍🍻🍻

Thanks as always. Its a great little city. They started building the cathedral to compete with the one in Amiens that was being constructed at the same time. Just like different cities want to have the tallest skyscrapers now, so in those days they competed to have the biggest cathedral. The French loved to build them high as well (whereas the English tended to make them low but long). Its quite fascinating. To be honest a lace I have never heard of before but it sure was nice and the cathedral was amazing, something that goes back to 1225 always blows my mind. Real nice that you could film inside too, what a wonderous place and given that I have never hear of Beauvais before, such a great place to visit, cheers Alan

Thank you Alan. Its a city not many people have heard of judging by the small amount of people that were there. I only knew about it due to the cathedral (im a bit of an architecture nerd as you know) which is properly epic. Have a great weekend cheers from barnyz

Thanks again. As I mentioned before this destination is somewhere I had wanted to visit for a very long time as the cathedral really is one of the most epic in the world so im very glad to finally get there and thats also why it was super important to choose the right music to go with it. Beauvais is not so far from where you live so maybe one day you will go there too. cheers from barnyz

Beautiful city love that castle at the beginning. Your choice of music once in the cathedral is such a perfect match . The musée départemental de l’oise was the same as the castle in the beginning we saw …right ? I really love it very much . The gardens are well maintained and clean cut ! The saint-Barthélémy ruins must of been cause by the WWlll I suppose. Saint-Étienne church is very nice …there’s so many historical churches in France just amazing that they are still there . Thank you as always. Yes the beginning has a little preview of the rest of the video so its the same castle. The saint barthelemy had a very complicated story which I couldn't fit into the video. It was already partly ruined before ww2 and then got even more damaged in ww2 so that it was beyond repair, at least a few small parts survived. France is one of the very best countries to visit for church architecture, especially Gothic which originates from France. The cathedral in Beauvais is one of the most important so I was very happy to visit. Hope you are both having a great week cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍🍰🍰🍰☺☺☺

Quelle tristesse Beauvais, j’ai dû y vivre 1 an pour raison professionnelle, j’étais content de partir. On s’ennuie ferme là-bas, à moins d’y être né c’est horrible.
