Beaver - An evening with kits - Part 1 

This year the adult pair had 4 kits, I've only seen 3 together a couple of times but my trail camera caught 4. We seemed to have had more sightings of the kits this year, usually in ones or twos.
It's been a joy to watch their development from the weaning stage. They can eat the leaves easily and have begun to chew bark off branches, but still largely rely on Mother to find food. She can take them to the food but usually brings it back to near the main Lodge for them to eat - whether it be large branches or twigs full of leaves. Willow is their favourite.
