I just looked, not a lot on You Tube about Oxen? I saw a show on TV years ago with them in an obstacle course with a cart. It was really impressive! They might not allow a link, so I'll add one separately here too.
He is a cutie he’s like come on dad I’m hungry I want a bottle. He might surprise us all and be 6’ tall. If they have the will we will do everything we all can to keep them going. I definitely need some more videos on all the calves and cows you have they look beautiful thank you ❤
He's a cutie!! Will be interesting to see how he does grow. Froggy.. lol. Little beaver are still beaver. Just takes a lot more to make a coat. Interesting nesting.. maybe the beaver were trying to use those loose eggs as bowling balls 🤔😂🤣 Thank you! Have a good day my friend!
Good morning Ed. I'm curious to see how he will grow too. It is healthy enough. Ya, those beaver need to be harvested. There are a lot of beaver in this area. Thx for watching my friend! Best wishes to you folks.
Good Morning! I'm late here, it's been so busy! Nice auger, I wonder if you could change the motor? Weedwhacker engine maybe? Funny to think your beaver season is still going. Ours ended April 15th. I have a damage control permit, but the season is otherwise closed. Talk about a cute little cow! One ranch I worked on had a dwarf. They were ashamed of it, said it was bad breeding....None of the rest were, so it's just something that happens sometimes, not breeding. That little guy won't bring anything at sale, so you should start now teaching it to pull a cart! It would be fun, or you could sell it later for good money if it's well broke. There used to be a guy here that trained Ox Teams. He said it was actually easier than horse teams. Ever seen an Ox Cast Competiton? If not, look it up! Really impressive what a cow can do!
I was really happy to get that ice auger for $10. Apparently I found out that there is an attachment were you can power these augers with a chainsaw. I'm going to look into that I have lots of chainsaws. Dorf is a cute little rascal. I will see how it turns out. Might have to butcher it in a couple years. Never seen much about oxen on RU-vid. I will have to check it out. Grandfather used to drive one with a horse. The horse was so lazy so they walked at about the same speed. Thx for stopping by Gary! Best wishes.
That calf is a rascal! I think I'm going to have my hands full with the girl, lol. Hope I get a few more beaver yet. I have a month of trapping left. Thx for watching brother! You folks have a good night.
Is there a way to use castor mounds and a leg hold trap? If you're checking them in the future at evening time that would make sense to me if you didn't have a drowning rod. Love seeing notifications that you'd posted a new video. I hope the good Lord's willing!
Good morning Garry ☕☕☕ I've got a Lewis chainsaw auger adapter. It's on my 036 Stihl. Have an 8"and 6" factory augers and I made a 4" out of a chunk of old grain auger. Works great for post holes!!
Great buys Gary I see a lot of those electric augers on YT The little dwarf calve is precious. Thanks for commenting I clicked on right away.I do luv going out with you brings back great memories Nice to see the goose nest too Good luck
I sure do appreciate you coming along, Brother! Out trapping, I make some of my best memories too. Good times spent out with the Lord's creation! Thx for watching and take care, my friend.
Thank you very much Brother. I'm not going to take a lot of beaver because spring work usually gets in the way, but I do wanna take a few . The family is all well, Wyatt. I hope you folks are doing fine . Thx for watching and have a good day.
Your getting them it's still wet over here in the Highlands of Scotland the north wind has been here making it cold it has swung round now to the east wind so it might be drier hopefully it will be our spring has been really wet. Goose eggs my father kept gease said the eggs where good for baking. Good luck getting a few more. 👍
Hello Brother! I fried up and ate a Goose egg one time. It was really good. It was just laying on the ground on the open pasture, it wasn't there the day before. I suspect it fell out of a Goose while they were eating grass. Here if we get a east wind, it usually brings unsettled weather. We get the nicer weather from a west and south wind. I can trap beaver for a month still, so I will get a few more. Thank you very much for watching! Best wishes to you good folks!
It's getting to be a nice time of the year. We will put in our garden later this month. I love all the new life springtime brings! Thank you. Best wishes to you both and much love from Canada ❤️
i know I been living in the city too long when all I see is a new family member in Dwarf. dang he is a cute one. And seems to like you. or the bottles you have been carrying
Great deal on that auger. I use a 20v dewalt brushless with two power extra batteries. One for a spare but I have never had to use the extra. I bought the impact with the handle. Works well. That auger is something like the one I have. I have never seen a dwarf cow before. Interesting. Did mama reject him/her? That new location for beaver looks like a promising spot. Thanks for sharing & Keep moving forward my friend.
I have a 20V Dewalt as well. I'm definitely going to try it. The calf is doing well. The mother likes him and feeds him. He had a little trouble reaching her udder at first. I only give him a bottle occasionally now. Yes, this house should be good for a few beavers. I think I only took 2 out of it last year. Thank you so much for watching my friend! Have a good day.
Looks like good scores from the tag sales. I’m sure you’ll find a way to use that auger. Funny I’d thought there where more big beaver in that pond. Guess ya never know. Good luck in the future👍👍
Thank you for your kind words. My land is a paradise to me. I have a very deep love for it. Thank you for your continued support ,Brother. Best wishes to you .
I have time to do both. I have been trapping for 42 years and have a lot of money invested in equipment. Made countless thousands of dollars trapping over those years. The extra money comes in handy! Thx for watching.
I had a little bull calf that had to be pulled, something was wrong with his front legs he couldn't stand. So we took 4 inch PVC sewer pipe cut it in half and duck taped it to his front legs so he could stand. It took 2 or 3 weeks before he was able to walk on his own. He never did get very big either. He was the first bull I ever rode and yes he bucked me off an butted the hell out of me before I could get out of the corral. Lol
Lol, the rascal! This one could walk right away but his foot joints were weak. Looked more like flippers. We have splinted calves sometimes too. It definitely helps them. Thx for watching brother! Have a good day.
