Awwww! That is so great! I love his big webbed foot! It is so cute! I bet the rocks keep their nails trimmed. You don't usually think of stuff like that. I don't anyway until this nice man Mike shared his beaver videos!
I can assure you the beavers in the river are not habituated to humans at all. To get close to them I have to move extremely slowly and quietly, and can only move when they are busy eating. They aren’t bothered by my smell, as they recognize it. But the slightest unexpected sound or movement and they would flee. If anyone tried to approach them they would take off in a snap second. They are completely and totally still wild and want nothing to do with humans being close.
I guess so. This old beaver does not see very well, but he knows my smell and isn’t bothered by it, so if I move slowly he after let’s me near while he is eating.
Great video, and superb narration. I think they are all used to you now, and probably expect some royalties. I do wish the pond beavers had some kits, young ones I guess are much harder to spot in the river.
I had guinea pigs (RIP Logan -pictured, and Comet) they pretty much eat hay the same way, not usually with paws but just chewing one long piece, longer then them, hearing them chew just reminds me 😃, so cute!
