Band a Chi Chong ah Refers to there's Dance today so I've been informed to have a shower (get ready for the dance sort of ) This band she's referring to is Belle Sombo a popular dance in Manyu land way before nightclubs were a thing . They would inspect nails , hair , teeth , skin and outfits before letting anyone into the dance circle. She is singing in Kenyang Language spoken around Mamfe, Cameroon

@@culturama237 the song is mostly parables. The literal meaning is just that there is a traditional dance called belle sogo today and she wants to take a shower and dress in her kabah to go and dance.
In those days bann was considered as a privilege discotheque organise once in a while and all will be so anxious to wear their best outfits for this privilege occasion
@@culturama237 she is telling a story of her as a woman who was always introvert and in doors and the day a band came to the village the villagers ask her even if that day she would not come out and danse so she is saying let them bring her water she bath with white man soap , white man oil etc.. wear her dress and danse the traditional danse (bele shombo danse ) so people can see that she can danse too.
