Thanks a lot, very helpful. Please do more on bebop lines. Would it be possible to do some basic tools, like arpeggios + chromatic, common patters, etc? Just to have something very basic to get started.
Right Kent...I play mostly blues & pop, but when ever I'm asked to play a bebop tune (rarely), I relish swinging a spartan version of Confirmation, or Ella's version of How High the Moon. So glad I took the time to learn phrasing, syncopation, etc. Helps with all soloing for sure!
Kent, you submitted 12 examples of ATs, 24 TT orders. Plus 5 7th chords in 12 keys . The total number of exercises is 17280. It is impossible to practice all these. What to do?
This just an exercise showing the possibilities. I don't expect anyone to do that much work, playing every possibility. Working on the practical examples of licks and how they are formed using the approach methods would be more practical. Also learning the 4 tunes would be most important, and useful.
I would think its just a guide. u see the possibilities and then figure out what u like and then practice in each key. same idea when taking licks from solos.
