Hi Simon, Instantly recognised some of these phrases that have been around a long time in jazz. Phrase 2 : Getting sentimental over you (George Bassman) Tommy Dorsey orchestra 1932. Phrase 3 : Honeysuckle Rose (Thomas Fats Waller) 1929. Interesting how these stock phrases have evolved and still being used and adapted to relative modern music. Regards Tony

The blues scale is just a subset of the minor scale, so think about how you can fit into into F minor rather than the F blues scale
