It's a shame that Beck is still so underrated as a composer, text writer, songwriter, poet, and especially arranger of ultimate funk and rock songs. This live performance illustrates perfectly how this genius is capable of translating a musical idea to an appealing show with even - to cite Rusty - a dancing Jehova's witness... - can't sit still to Beck's black tambourine!
Saw him in concert, he had several more ppl backing him up. One of 3 tambourine players whipped out a giant tambourine, about 4 feet long. I wanted to join and play tambourine 😳
I had a fish jump out of the aquarium once and flip around on the floor wildly until it eventually died. Kind of reminds me of the guy with the tambourine.
I think the tambourine doooood should run for President if he was serious about the job....any person that brings THAT MUCH focus and enthusiasm to a job....deserves a vote, LOL -Prometheus.
Not still, but again. They've reformed and Matt's the replacement for Paul Hester, he's played on the new album and is with them on tour, apparently as a full time band member instead of "hired hand".
