Thank you for playing another one of my games, Manly! This version of the game was to meet a Game Jam's deadline, I will be producing an UPDATED version (hopefully) this week that will add a new section to the game, a few new scares, achievements and secrets.

The funny thing is VHS tapes couldn't DO this. This is like a DVD game experience but not possible on magnetic tape without rewinding to specific timestamps.

Oh my god this is the most annoyingly accurate game ever... I work retail and we get to go over lectures about shit like "If the bus breaks down, how can you do better to get to work on time?" and it always annoyed the shit out of me because there's shit out of your control that WILL make you late for work. They always talk about how your team will have to pick up the slack. But something tells me if my boss ever wanted to do something as frivolous as golf we'd be expected to just go along with it as if it's unacceptable for a worker to see a dying relative compared to the necessity for a manager to go golfing. Honestly my job isn't that bad, but something like that just hit close to home for some reason. The whole idea that you have to model your entire life around your work rather than fit your work into your life (which is something they do tell us to do with time) is a bit... narcisistic on the employers department. As if your whole life now revolves around coming to work not only on time every time with almost no faults but also excelling every task despite the close to minimum wage you get paid. I still blame America.

I'm so happy for Dr. Brain and Giygas. Good to see them getting somewhere in life.

I love how absolutely GOAT'd Chel was by the end despite being initially written off.

I find it very funny how Manly reacts to typos - instead of glossing over them as he realizes what it’s supposed to say, he reads them out verbatim in a confused tone 😭 poor developers lol, I’d feel so called out and embarrassed

Most sane "grind set" kinda guy. Remenber kids: dont work harder. That wont get you anywhere in the workplace. Want a better salary? Do a union. Want better, safer working hours? Union. Remenber: most bosses contribute noting and get payed too much. You and your collegues have power when you stand side by side and march hand in hand.

Holy moly, the way Manly vocalize the characters is just amazing.

It’s interesting to see how each developer has a unique style - kinda like zedd the technician. It gives you a more personal connection to the maker of the game as opposed to the big AAA titles.

Love the voice and mannerisms Manly used for Dr. Brain, it added a lot to this. As was surely intentional, I definitely got a lot of BIG SHOT vibes from all this. I keep liking this developer's work, it's a fun premise for some horror.

The "blue shell effect" is so real. In MTG Commander games, the one player with the most board presence is always the one everyone ends up ganging up on to try to knock out first

I like that this little employee training video kind of thing had a little dating sim feel to it with Chel. Like she was getting to know you while you were using those booths. Really tied it together when she wanted to form a union. And since bill went belly up that only leaves the two of you lol. Cute way of saying she wanted to go out. But yeah Dr. Brain here really wanted them GO GETTERs. Too bad he went insane from watching his own video. Though maybe he mutated cause of his own brain pills. He probably got them from a real [BIGSHOT] and wanted to make deals with GO GETTERS and become a [BIGSHOT] himself. Also probably mutated cause he took the deal. Bet he didnt lose much [KROMER] I do love that chel actually rode that copy machine lol.

And I thought I was gonna have to scroll through boring shorts while I wait for my drs appt. Manly saves the day!

15:34 I did that at a Christmas party when we were playing Mario Party. I had never played before and I was open about it in case I embarrassed myself. Everyone else had been playing for years so I kinda just sat back and played watching everyone, they’d steal from each other and I’d play along stealing from the thief. I won by a country mile. I destroyed them at the mini games and stole everything only after someone stuff was already taken “don’t worry I’ll kick they ass for you, avenge you” only to be doing it to win. No one caught on until it was too late

Unrelated but does anyone know when the full game Slay the princess will come out? I am especially excited for the route of the witch. Minor spoiler: you start the route by pretending to mean no harm first and attacking the princess later. The witch then questions your true intentions and seems to know what is really going on. Man that full game is going to be awesome when it is updated!
