[this is my [3rd] last freak'n attempt ] She did a proper job, made e-Z because Lewis was so comfortable due to his years of spotlight work & his level of ability... we could have listened until He WaS ReaDY to stop.... Lewis gave up PEARLS of truth, wisdom and commitment that exemplify the excellence he displays and iS required to do what Bottas, Vettel and champions do.... He also showed the excellence of a human - being... And what it takes to become a "5 ... FIVE time world champion" !!!! ...... ▬ Lewis, you are a role model for ALL ages ▬
Let's not forget that he was contracted to McLaren from 1998 and this guaranteed both financial and technical support. It also included an option to join F1 and this he did in 2013 so his father did not have to finance his career for the 5 years prior to his F1 debut.
this is how you do an interview. let the person of interest talk and don't interrupt them every 5 seconds. so simple yet most interviewers can't do this.
For all the people out there who knock this guy down week in week out, just watch this interview. A brilliant role model for formula one imo. Well spoken, polite, able to explain stuff in an interesting and insightful way. Someone who hasn't took things for granted and is making the most of every opportunity.
Loved this interview and it's more like the Lewis that we all saw back when he started his F1 career. But you've got to admit it's a far cry from the Lewis that we see week in week out on TV with his chains and "crew". He's my favourite racer on the track, but off track he's a bit of a douche...except for this interview where he seems humble and more human.
+Moshizzle90 Rubbish! He's human and entitled to his style of dressing, chains or no chains. If you don't like chains that's your problem not his, some of you people, you're just unbelievable...
+Moshizzle90 I agree with George. You can judge him just for his outfit, you are seeing the cover of the book. And as Lewis said he had no life at the beginning of his career so he is now trying to his life now that he have the opportunity to do it. The chains don't mean a thing when you know how committed he is with his dream, to be the next world champion.
I wasn't commenting on his lifestyle outside of racing. I don't want to come across like i dislike Lewis because i don't. It's just the second he gets out of his car he needs to get all of his bling on before he can go and do any interviews. His dress sense at events or anything out doesn't bother me - just a personal annoyance i guess.
This is why Lewis is different from the other F1 champion drivers. Loving his attitude of positivity and being a good example. So much respect with Lewis! 😘
Top interview ane he just shows what a talented, humble, decent guy he is off the track, as well as a demon on it. Brits should be proud of having one of the greatest F1 drivers and current sporting megastars. Shame regarding the negativity he gets.
It is probably because he isnt allowed to be who he truly is I guess. Ive met him and he is completely different than he is on TV. Very nice and down to earth guy.
What a difference a parent can make to your life ... well done to Lewis but even more so to his dad for all the hard work and self sacrifice he put in to giving Lewis the chance to shine like a star 👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
His Dad took such a huge gamble and risk with Lewis. Even Lewis having that pressure to do well. I just can't imagine the mentality the 2 had to keep going.
A fascinating interview. His focus and clarity of thought is incredible. Listening to Lewis speak- he never once stumbled "ummed or ahhd" so fluent and articulate. The man is a machine! Seriously impressive human being. A true champion.
This driver is “other”...in the best possible way. I am so glad that he happened in my lifetime. It’s been thrilling to watch him race, and a joy to follow his career. Lewis Hamilton will always be a class act, as they say. He and his family have much to be proud of-thanks for sharing all of it with us :):)
At first I was reluctant to see this because I thought this was going to be just another interview he does. But after a few minutes I knew I wanted this to go on. Great interviewer. Of all the interviews I've seen of him off track, this was the best.
the reasons why his like that is because he had nothing anthony his father worked very hard and knows his roots. all young people should take heed and do something with there lives just like lewis. his full of love and respect and we should resoect that also. LEWIS your the man and thank you for such good racing and being a gentleman when loosing. TOTAL RESPECT. one LOVE
Yeah, I love him. Was a tiny shame he's anti-Formula E, but if anyone has a good reason it is him. The 'sound' debate for racing drivers will not last long... sound is energy, so if you ask Lewis to decide between a faster car or a louder car, I am pretty sure I know which he will choose.
z00h Balls and brains is the key. I ride a ZX-6R for info on my ball size and condition. Did you not read my post? You can go with loud and slow if you want but it's not clever and it's not going to win.
Will Darling Your theories might impress someone who was born after 1999 but it doesn't make them true... especially in the context of what Lewis said about noise and F1. He didn't diss Formula E, he simply stated that he doesn't like lack of noise since noise is still one of the main factors defining excitement in motorsport. You came here knowing very well what he meant yet you felt compelled to spit your patronising SJW bullshit.
z00h Does SJW mean physics? It's about as simple as equations come. Energy for loud farty sound is not free. And I didn't 'diss' him, go back and read my comment.
Will Darling Will, darling, are you trying to suggest that horse racing is the most advanced form of racing since it's silent. And that Lewis will want to race horses?
Wow, my perception of Lewis was totally off, I was judging this guy on the basis of a few emotional interviews in the heat of the moment. This was a really cool interview, I wish more people could see this side of him. Definitely a fan of the guy now.
Yeah I felt same really went off Lewis since the whole rosberg thing but we don’t know the whole story and all things said about him in media can be blown out of proportion and makes him hated I def a fan of him proud we have such a successful Brit in f1 who dedicated a race win to a very poorly child sent his 2019 Spanish Grand Prix trophy to him along woth a f1 car
So well spoken and very grateful. Follow him on Instagram always sending out positive vibes even though people just like to bring him down race after race. There is no denying he’s an amazing F1 driver but he’s also a great role model. Great interview.
Let's get one thing straight, in racing, there isn't one goat. There's like a hall of champions, then there is the multiple world champions. They all stand together. On this higher level as the greats. Lewis is absolutely hands down part of that club. And any of the previous greats would attest to that.
Great interview, really got us into the minds of these drivers, and packed some inspiration on the side. Lewis is a great interviewee, and I wish him the best of luck at Monaco.
What an inspiring conversation. Interviewer does a great job engaging Lewis and it's so nice to listen to him talk in such an articulated way. He sure is the fastest on the tracks but can also take the time to share his memories with the audience. Enjoyed the questions from the public too, and his answers.
25:49 to end ,golden words . . . . . . . The whole interview has all golden words definitely Lewis is a legend he is a 7 time world champion for a reason .
Although I have always know about him, but I have never really knew him before this, until now wow I have a lot more respect for this guy... Great attitude...
I don't understand why Lewis gets knocked down week after week as GMACF1 has written. He's so articulate, so fair and so self-effacing. All of this in addition to be so skillful! To me, watching Lewis is like poetry in motion - but when things go wrong, which they will, the smiles will diappear and he can register disappointment - wouldn't we all? When he suffers a setback, I feel gutted!
I really didn't like LH, however after hearing and seeing this interview I've definitely changed my mind. Down to earth, thoughtful, humble, well spoken and grateful, I'm now a fan!
guys don't you think we should not judge somebody by his/her dressing. When this guy opens his mouth that is when you actually realise that he is quiet smart and humble too
Brilliant Interview..... an inspirational story of a normal family that stumble across and understand a childs hidden talent and brought it to life for the world to see.......We all have a talent or a hidden talent........... It makes you wonder, for all of our struggles, wouldn't it be nice if in the end we all become this successful....Fingers crossed.
His is an inspiring story. He is the odd man out in F1, and some people find it hard to understand him, his talent and his fearless determination. Other drivers come from rich families, and most probably lack his hunger. His success breaks the norm for this sport. I wish him every success for the future - great for him, his family and for us, and showcases the excellence of British engineering. Win win all round!
Useful interview but I think we'll have to wait until he retires from F1 for someone to make a proper thorough documentary abot him. I'd definitely watch that. Interesting audience members. Reminds me of when I was a kid, this is the sort of audience you'd get on Pebble Mill at One.
Lewis was so comfortable ... could have listened until He WaS ReaDY to stop.... he gave us PEARLS of truth, wisdom and commitment that exemplify the excellence he displays and iS required too do what [Schumacher, Senna, Alanso, Vettel, etc] champions do.... He also showed the humble excellence of a Human - Being... And what it takes to become a "5 → FIVE time world champion" !!!! ...... ▬ Lewis, you are a role model for ALL ages ▬
Fiona was the very best choice for this interview. She asks interesting questions and listens. she is interested in what the interviwee is saying and isn't, like many interviers, looking at notes in an obvious way while the person is answering. She makes a tough job look easy. Lewis is very real here and open. I think Fiona can be thanked for that.
Thanks Hamilton that you speak in such a clear and beautiful accent...I found it difficult understanding the other black Brits. I learned a lot about this wonderful and most sophisticated sport in the world from this conversations.
