I'm in my final year of medical school and just had my OBGYN rotation. I cried at the first delivery I saw and that's when I figured this is what I want to do. I instantly became excited to be in the hospital, go in the OR, the delivery room, and then come home and do extra reading, something I have never experienced before. I found your channel trying to find inspiration and information about this career and you have been so great and reinsuring!!! You inspired me and showed me that you can be a great and pasionate doctor as well as having a fulfilling life outside of career, having hobbies, having a family and a youtube channel. Thank you for your work and I can't wait to start this amazing path helping women, through their scary moments and their magical moments! ❤❤❤

Thanks for this video! I’m in high school and currently want to be an OBGYN. I’ve have some doubts recently about if I would be able to do this job or like it. I needed a sign that this is the job for me. You explained everything that I love, so it was definitely a sign that this is the job for me. Thanks so much! ❤️

Thank you so much for making this video! I really love your compassion for the field and your positivity! I have been a CNA since 2017, have been completing my CST Program since 2021, and am only 20 cases away from finishing my clinicals and becoming nationally certified. I absolutely love GYN cases as well as Labor & Delivery, and I have always wanted to go to medical school. I have been in between a Family Medicine physician and an OB/GYN for a couple of years now, and I have recently decided (especially after watching this video) that I want exactly the job you have! I dream of being an OB/GYN! Wish me luck! Hope to apply to med school in a couple of years!

I love this! I'm a MA at an Ob/Gyn office and it's my favorite job. I graduated with my bio degree in May and am currently studying for the MCAT so this vid is very inspirational. I can see how much you love your job and I hope to be that same Ob/Gyn one day!

I’m in high school rn and I was just searching on career job ideas that I might be good at but I don’t really know what kinda field I wanna do or what I like to just so I came across Obstetricians and I was very interested in this so I did a little more digging in this field and I started liking it but I’m having doubts about the job because idk if I would succeed thank you so much this video kinda help me find out more about the job

Thank you so much for your videos! I am currently interviewing to med schools, and I have always wanted to be an OBGYN, but I am nervous about the work/life balance, long shifts/hours, but I know it is my passion! I have been a birth and postpartum doula for 5 years, and have attended hundreds of births, and it truly is what makes my heart sing. Any advice on how to make peace/tune out all of the... " get ready to work 90 hour weeks" "you'll be paying most of your income into insurance" "are you ready to be in court all the time" "you'll never see your family" comments that are just everywhere whenever I say this is my life path. Thank you again for your honesty and passion :)

I always love to become a healthcare but didn’t know what I want last year I had my first baby but the whole process was so overwhelmed and my doctor was the best doctor she help me alot of ways and that was it for me I decided to becom OB/GYN I want help every woman who’s experiencing what I experienced but it’s long road I don’t know how I’m gone do😅

Can a person become an obgyn if they are left handed ? I mean does it make surgery difficult?

"Didi" It seems that a person whose dominant hand is the left hand will be able to manage and move that hand with coordination . Of course I don't know if surgical instruments are designed for right handers. I am merely answering out of a guess. I have no expertise in the matter.

How were your first 2 years of medical school? Is it as hard as people say? Also, this may be a dumb question but if you skipped the MCATs, how did you get into medical school?

If you get into a B.S-MD program, you’re automatically accepted into the med school so long as you keep a certain gpa requirement. You wouldn’t have to take the MCAT.

Are physicians allowed to bring in students who are shadowing to deliver a baby? I love this part of pursuing a career in woman’s health :)

Great question! Yes, pre COVID it was much easier to do this. Now it’s getting limited since these spots are typically for med students

hello i just came across your video thanks for sharing information and advice, i am currently 23 years old and want to become a obgyn do you think i should go for it at this age? im nervous because usually people go straight from high school to starting such a career like this due to how long you will have to study.
