Courier: “I can teach you how to disarm mines set up by the NCR.” Decanus: “Go ahead, this is worthwhile intel.” Courier: “Ok, so the trick is basically run at it and mash ‘e’.” *gets hung up on a cross*
This is very nicely put together. I like how it effectively builds up the narrative around this character you made up with all the espionage and the medical checks.
I think its kind of funny how like 5 voice actors voice 99% of the game. Like I think I've heard Yuri Lowenthal speak more in this game than I did in both Spider-Man 1 and 2.
I've seen a lot of videos concerning this game, but this video showed me interactions I've never seen. The depth is pretty remarkable. I really should just play this game
What's sad is that the Legion is unfinished. It was the last faction to be fleshed out and the 18 month deadline was approaching so obsidian had to rush the Legion
@vaati9364 I know, but it still looks very Bethesda. And just like Bethesda does with their games, it was very rushed. They never let their games cook long enough.
So glad i played this when i was a kid, so i had all the motivation and interest to basically do all possibilities on multiple playthroughs, nowadays i only have the energy for one proper playthrough in games :/
Comments section: "legion is better future" "NCR is better future." Facts: The NCR is based on USA; USA government is based on Rome government; Legion is based on Rome. Caesar (in game) came from NCR. All roads lead to Rome!
I really, really like this video. As someone who's never played FNV but has watched a ton of youtube clips, it's really nice to have this long continuous narrative
The NCR in the final boss fight with Oliver were criminally underpowered. They should have doubled the amount of NCR present, upgraded the NCR weapons and probably give the Heavy Trooper automatic grenade launchers
@@beencomfy You get it from either nuking the legion, or nuking both sides. You can loot it off Gaius Magnus, it's called The Armor of the 87th Tribe. Pretty sure there are mods however that make it acquirable through other means if you want it for a Legion playthrough.
I love how it goes from this very serious sounding dude talking about his tribe wiped out in service to legion then I have elvis talking to me a few moments later Thanks New Vegas
Lmao I've never done anything other than a legion playthrough. They are the only faction that can actually bring order to the wasteland. No more raiders No more monsters No corrupt politicians
@@cpob2013 It's ultimately what kind of diverse or rough society you value. No system is perfect, though. Thing is, Legion isn't lasting. Without the leader they'll eat themselves over time. NCR is more cohesive even if faulty in some parts.
*True to Caesar!* Sorry I'm a sucker for Imperial factions with a warrior society and I've always been incredibly fascinated with Caesar himself. Also when you play Rome 2 Total War and watch documentaries about the Roman Empire it makes Caesar's Legion irresistible (at least to me).
I wonder how many people noticed that we’re just a little too tall in this video, we’re so tall that the finale slide show isn’t framed correctly and we tower over everyone we talk too.
How cool would it be if your height scaled with your strength? 1 strength makes you the height of the Omertàs floor manager and 10 strength makes you Lanius’ height.
Redditors physically can not play Legion They will play through New Vegas dozens of times but never explore one of the major factions because they don't want to do something that might be heckin offensive even if it's in a fucking video game Imagine actually being that pathetic
You are the 3rd or 4th comment requesting this so yes I will. I am just currently making another big fallout 3 video which hopefully should be ready tomorrow after that I shall start getting the ncr side recorded and edited, the planning is already done for it.
His supporters pronounce it how the actual Latin speaking Roman Empire pronounced "Caesar" (Ki-Zar) While the moderns pronounce it the modern english way (See-Zar) So, roleplay basically. Would be cool if the Legion spoke Latin, but makes sense since all the translations were likely lost to history from the nukes.
I like how "out of character" he goes when in immense pain lmao. At least its seemed like that to me (I never do Legion affiliated PTs so I can't relate to his dialogue as well) and he stopped LARPing for a second "FUCK THIS I'M GOING TO BED" xD
Caesar actually has a decent vision for the future. No raiders, no arguing or infighting, a society under one flag and in complete order and everyone understands where they stand and their place. Everyone works towards a common goal. Only downside really is that people get enslaved. But we know what a democracy will get you. Mr house and Caesar both knew it would never last.
@@q_cola_roja_p the legion is clearly written to be a moral choice about ends justifying means. Caesar is very clear that following the capture of Vegas they're going to transition into more of a standard empire less of an autocracy and begin building up civilization. The slavery is a frontier wartime activity and not designed to be the permanent status quo. You're meant to be like okay this sucks now but is this brutality worth a safer more civilized society afterwards. I think the big big issue with the Legion long term is the insane misogyny. It would be easy for Caesar to end slavery and not continue it, bc it's like a direct government slavery and not as much like rich slave owners who'd contest him, but shifting the cultural values on misogyny is quite different. For the record I don't think the legions crimes are worth what they achieve, like the game heavily suggests the legion with Caesar alive succeeds in their goal but imo there's better ways to bring Civilization and stability.
1 day the New Vegas fanboys will stop acting like the 18 months was some insane, unreal time crunch they hit then shit on bethesda when 90% of the creation of new vegas was handed to obsidian they just had to add upon it with the plots and cosmetic designs
I wish there was more alliances in Fallout New Vegas. Every playthrough I have plans to unite Brotherhood, NCR, Boomers, Freeside while working for Mr. House until "Don't Tread on the Bear" quest comes up. Then I switch Mr. House for YesMan, keep everything the same except unite. I work with NCR now until the NCR president turns up. Eventually, I just end up doing every mission except for the last, wiping out every single soul on the map. All DLCs done, just got all 37 Gold bars last night, don't even need them because EDE can just repair weapons every 24 hours. I already had 150K caps, now just a few missions, decorate my player houses. My main house will always be Harpers Shack just south of Ranger Station Charlie. It has firepit, reloading bench and a work bench with storage for every single type of item. Collectible, personal, hunting, misc building components, reloading components, aid for food, alcohol and chems. Things you are about to repair, things you are about to sell, everything has its own container there. I wish Fallout 4 had everything FNV did and I wish you could go into the city without game crashing.
