Isn't it weird how when you first start building a vault, you get kind of locked into your design and it's hard to imagine any different kind of vault?
@@edmondnoir6191 How did you manage to get vault fully lighted up without stupid lanterns and conduits? I really wanna try that cause mine is really dark
@@supnenCyc I put the vault style conduits on the outside of the walls instead of the inside for one and then I put the brightest light i could find lol in the ceilings and at each level which is the light you will see being used. I also used a mod to increase the radius the conduits can reach iirc.
when I was decorating the Castle I made a "party room" in one of the towers, similar to your nightclub. I put traffic lights all over the walls to get bright colored flashing lights everywhere lol, it looks pretty crazy in there.
thanks again haha - Yea i wanted to make a legit danceclub using basically all vanilla assets and think I pulled it off nicely :) The rooms on the side are so that people go up to that floor otherwise its pretty barren. You can alternatively use mods that make settlers sandbox dance there too however i just didnt use those mods in the build and tried to make the build mod light
There is a vanilla blueprint version of my settlement. Basically its just missing some lights, clutter, furniture and that's it. It will have all the walls a lot of the furniture will be there etc. But yea You can totally make it your own using the vanilla version - the vault will be built out.
Anyone know if there's a way to get the vault floor with the yellow edge? My ocd is going mad that some sections don't have it. Like near the door to the stairs in this video
Oh - yes so thats basically a creative solution to a design issue. Basically settlers wont use the red light district its too far - and I didnt design it to be a place to sleep and live rather just a district. Well the issue is that without beds near by the settlers wont use that area. If you place beds in there which is near center of the district they will then use the beds. The issue being that the best location to do this was on a second floor off a dance floor lead me to a creative solution.
Wow that is quite the extensive vault there's so many different areas using up all the space you don't find it a problem most settlers don't wanna walk that much they don't go far from where they initially came in I realize you do have beds in the lounge that forces them to come down there which means you must have shortchanged beds upstairs let her side what's wrong with your lighting why is it all capped off at the top light doesn't work that way he doesn't just slow down it goes everywhere especially with those particular lamps they don't have a hood they're not being blocked by anything that light should be going anywhere it's way too dark in the cloud it makes sense the red light district everywhere else you're not worried about Melanoma poisoning they're not getting enough light and they're not getting enough sun I hope they're supplementing with vitamin D because your vote is entirely too dark they probably get sick very easily don't they.
i know this is like 3 years later but i decided to replay fallout 4 and actually put effort into having cool settlements so i downloaded your blueprint! it loaded fine, everything is powered off, but when i try to pick up/put down the floor tiles or conduits to reattach stuff, it goes red and won't allow me to place it. do you know how to get around this? i even have the place everywhere mod and don't really know why it's not allowing me to put it right back where it was. thanks!
@Loweryi thanks for giving my blueprint a try! Im glad you like it. To answer your question you need to pick up the piece and put it down literally anywhere dont even try to connect it to something - and then pick it up again and put it down into its correct place. Now you shouldnt have to do that for every piece just the pieces that got disconnected for one reason or another. you can use lights to test out were the electricity is breaking.
How is everything powered? I'm not seeing any wires, and are the generator rooms the source? And what do those things on some walls do? Metal boxes with a pointy thing.
power is transfered through the floor of connected valt pieces - conduits can be placed to amplify the power transferred into the air. for my vault i hid the wired on the outside of the walls
I dont know what you mean. You just select the settlement workbench and then type a council command to increase the budget to whatever you want. Or use a mod that auto does that for you.
Hold the phone here since when can you lock doors anger registers is this something on PC versions only what can you do that on console as well because I would love to lock both doors from pesky settlers who go where they don't need to be going please let me know, sincerely Overseer of vault 67
@@nameisroi No I use a song thats a hour long mix so length doesnt matter - you just need to be sure that you replace the audio file with a audio file that is the same format and with the same name.
