Mich Was hi there! I can answer as well. Master Mason from Michigan in the United States here. You are most certainly eligible to join if you 1. Believe in a supreme being (any religion besides Satanism), 2. Are a man, and 3. Are of good moral character (most lodges don’t accept folks with felonies but if that’s an issue check with the Grand Lodge in your State/Country. As for the venous malformation, if you have trouble standing for long periods of time or kneeling you’re welcome to request a chair for your initiation. There is some walking involved but it’s common practice to have elderly folks initiated. Most can do it without accommodations but accommodations can be made if needed. I had to sit during my Master’s obligation because of tendinitis in my knees. I hope this helps!

Initiation of a Master Mason? Initiation refers only to the First Degree, otherwise known as the Entered Apprentice Degree. Master Masons are "Raised"...not Initiated.

@nicola wilson Your post makes no sense. When a man joins Freemasonry, he becomes an Entered Apprentice. This is the First Degree. He will take two further Degrees, Fellowcraft and Master Mason. The Third Degree is the highest there is. There are two other options to him in the United States, anyway. The York Rite and the Scottish Rite. These convey more Degrees, but they are only appendant Degrees and are no higher than the Third of Regular Craft Freemasonry. If your husband joined, he'd take the first three Degrees... if he wishes to go further, he can, but he does not have to.

I didn't ask to be one, they tried to draft me. I said no. They heckled, lied on and derided my children. When that didn't work they attempted to destroy my reputation. A man cannot love two masters. I've chosen to love and follow Yeshua. He is the Christ. Without Him I would have already been defeated. Masons are demonic. I have no interest in free masonry and would only like to live in piece. @Shellspawn If someone is known to have broken their word and divulged our secrets, the absolute worst thing that will happen will be for them to be expelled. We do not harm anyone. It is against the law and Freemasons are charged with obeying the law of the land in which they live above and beyond their Freemasonry.

@@jongdonglu Yes there is a process to follow. Depending on the circumstances, it would be handled by different Masonic authorities. The issue is not one of confidentiality as our "secrets" have been well known for years. It is one of "integrity"...because if the man took an obligation...gave his word...not to reveal them...then did so; his integrity is worth nothing. In Freemasonry, we don't want that sort of man.

@Cherries - Yes friend, they certainly had a secret knowledge to build massive wondrous cathedrals - but that was in the time the Templars was said to have brought back such knowledge from the crusades and they build 84 of these huge cathedrals all over Europe - architectural masterpieces based on sacred geometry. But that time has long since pass away.
