Bed Cover MPG Test : 10,000 Mile Test on my 2022 Ram 2500 

Thanks for the data, looks like an increase of almost 12%. You did a great job on the cover, you certainly got payback on it. I do prefer the long tests to confirm data but the short loop one’s done certainly have their place as you can control more variables. Your data confirms the short loop ones. Cheers.

Great video! I definitely agree that a several thousand mile test with and without a bed cover is significantly more accurate than a back to back test. The only thing I would calculate in is the break in period. At 20,000 miles your engine is pretty much broken in, but some would say after 100 miles the piston rings are properly seated and there is no “break in”. I know it’s very controversial, but I have a 2022 Ram 2500 Limited Longhorn with the 6.7 Cummins and even though I’ve had a bed cover on since almost day 1, I do notice an improvement in fuel mileage with almost 5,000 miles on my truck. You are also carrying nearly 200lbs more weight, and still gained 2mpg. If you had a lighter cover, it would be even better
