Bedding optic plate 

Once again the optic plate came loose on James' Springfield Prodigy. This time I decided to go back to my bolt action rifle days and "bed" the plate to the slide. There is a slight gap in the front of the optic plate to the slide that we shimmed last time this happened. That lasted for awhile but came loose during the IDPA nationals. This small amount of JB Weld will fill that area but not stick to the slide. I also staked the optics plate to the screws after torquing. I expect this to last but time will tell.
