Bedford TL Millbrook & Design Studio evaluation 02 80 

Excellent work as always - The display plate on the TL is "LNK982V" (which was used for real on a Cavalier, taxed until 1992) my Dad's ex Luton Cavalier was "LNK869V" - He worked for the subsidiary AC Delco in Kirkby for 34 years so quite a few LNK's ended up here.

the Bedford RL was the best ! well done to who ever designed it, simple and go any where

I’m as certain as I can be (having worked there 1976-79)that the body featured at 2:35 on the white-cabbed TL was built by SMT Sales and Service, Roseburn, Edinburgh to a design produced in large numbers for Scottish & Newcastle Breweries. The body was very well engineered, and was designed around the multi-purpose role which S&N required. The majority in the later years of the TK were on the twin-steer examples to cope with the front axle overloading of the two-axle examples due to the “diminishing load” problem.

Most of them BEDFORD TRUCKS (second hand)including the TK, KM. and TL were sold to Mauritius 🇲🇺
