An idea for accommodating EWR services at Bedford on the Midland Main Line without widening to 6 tracks to the north of the station. Also not requiring a major rebuild of the existing parts of the station buildings and access bridges, but realigning the fast lines around an altered west island (an existing NR aspiration). New platforms provided to the south of the station and Thameslink stabling relocated to an expanded Cauldwell depot with new north access. Other work as detailed on map.
