After listening to the normal version, I can miss some of the storytelling the lyrics convey, but I will admit this would flow into a match more. I wonder if Arcsys would ever be willing to release battle edits for character themes?
Would absolutely love Battle Edit. themes, like shortened intro Mirror of the World or Trailer Circle. Maybe a Battle Remix for Perfection Can't Please Me?
@@-cams. at my old local people fucking quickly selected perfection can't please me as mental counterplay because we all hated it so much i think it could use an edit
the original is good and full of meaning but I have to say this is exactly what everyone was expecting. this is a song I can get beaten up to! thank you!
I really didn’t mind the slower, more silent sections of the song, although the one at the begining was awkward to hear, i’ll give that, the rest are fine
While I personally feel that cutting out the part of the song that leads into 2:13 is criminal, I do feel that this edit as a whole solves the biggest issue of The Circle: It's an absolute banger, but because of Strive's breakneck pace, the match is over by the time it actually reaches the kickass chorus.
@@Oakey718 This is what makes me tear up a little bit as a ram main who wrote like a solid 8 pages on her theme. It's a FANTASTIC song, but by the time you get to the first verse the match is over even if it was equally matched. Thus I resort to Dice because even Diva of Despair takes a while to settle in into the action.
Nice edit! This is better for matches, however, I still like the original a lot! None the less this is a more "All Gas, No Brakes" version of the song and I think you did a fantastic job editing the faster sections seamlessly together. Fantastic Work!
As much as I love the original version I feel this is more fitting for matches. That trailer was so fire I'm in awe as how good and seamless you made this sound.
Iirc this match was posted by IGN a few days ago, they probably got it from somewhere else though, considering that the players actually know what they are doing
correct! one of the only pieces of footage i could find, i could probably get it sourced from friends now though lol i definitely don't think it's IGN's either so i didn't bother linking them
Great job! Actually there are so many songs in this game that would need that same treatment, matches are so short that in a lot of cases you don't get to the best parts. It's like they weren't even made with a fighting game in mind (or at least not a fighting game in which the fighting is as fast as Strive)
Some themes should defiantly have a abridged version for fights. I remember Existance in Granblue fantasy was like that when you fought beelzebub. BTW i think the slower part before 2:13 shoulda stayed. i think it can still have a slow moment or 2.
I like how everyone instantly agreed that the trailer version was better. Don't get me wrong it's a good song and I listen to it but daaaamn was it sad hearing it the first time
As much as I do like the original, this version definitely just flows better. The sections that were cut out always sounded kind of meh, compared to the rest of the song Nice job!
This has to be official theme,as much as i love daisuke's creativity he composes songs more fitting for an album than a fg where rounds last one minute as much. Bedman theme tries too hard to be unique and experimental and it just end up being another song in the ost with one or two good parts after 3 minutes of bland sound (I love the lyrics tho)
Big disagree. You can have a preference for starting high octane, that's fine, but I disagree that the original is in any way ill fitting or should've been cut down because of it, nor do I believe that this is any sign of it's quality. Look at any video game, any one where there is some fight happening with notably more sombre or otherwise calmer music to juxtapose the action. It's no problem there and I don't see how it's any problem here, it fits based on narrative not genre. If you find that bland that speaks to you, not the song. Now, as for in game, I think it makes sense to give the players some options for how they would like any song to start, at least between the beginning or the first chorus, or maybe even a random option with more than 2 starting points to get to hear different parts of the song. Or, a more simple option would be to have 2 official versions of the song, or at least have the song continue playing throughout longer sets, but instead of suggesting any of that you take it as a song issue rather than a game issue. Comes off as dismissive to me.
