@Modeus. what are you talking about? Jack-O and Aria aren't the same people, that's what her story in strive is about, and that it's okay that she can be her own person and enjoy life. Aria is in her consciousness, but it's very clear they're not the same person. Sol says it himself, "Have I ever called you Aria?"
@@gothphoebe that wasn't lost on me, not at all. its just that from Xrd to Strive, Jack-O' _became_ Aria, and there was nothing to fill the void left by Jack-O'.
@Modeus. no, she didn't? The fusion that happened in Xrd failed, just implanting the consciousness into Jack-O mind. Throughout the story of Strive, Jack-O wants Aria to take control of what she sees herself as, a vessel to revive Aria, not as her own person. She feels guilty over finding the joy in life that she has with Sol. But she's the only one that sees herself that way, Sol loves her, not because 'she's Aria', because she's Jack-O. Aria herself tells Jack-O to be her own person, and at the end of the story she can finally find comfort in being herself and enjoying life. That's what her theme in strive is about, finding joy in the small things, and the "perfection" that she talks about is becoming Aria.

As a faust main winning just because your opponent got lucky has to be the most annoying thing in this game. If you get good enough RNG the game basically becomes a 2v1 because your items will jump the opponent with you

The best way to describe 80% of Strive character is that playing vs them feels like playing Russian Roulette with a magazine fed gun, because no matter how many 50/50 you guess right you will still end up dead and left looking stupid afterwards (like for real why is my opponent able to go 10 full seconds of mashing and have 34 50/50s during that, done made blocking feel like a quick time event)
As a Goldlewis main, I can tell you that his healthpool and corner pressure are by far not his most annoying traits. On oki he has like an 8 way mix-up. And every single option is mega plus or leads to another oki.
I just love getting guardcrushed and chipped to death by moves that are +12-16 on block with only 12 frames of startup, suuuuper fun character to fight
pot main here: zoning isn't the problem, we WANT you to get in close. the problem is that our entire game plan is to get in your head and piss you off. :)
I recently returned to Guilty Gear after playing a lot of Tekken, and I think a large part of why I like Guilty Gear more is the community perspective. Tekken players tend to take themselves far too seriously, whining about anything that looks to be a stain on their perfect, honest, fundamentals focused game. Guilty Gear players will complain about some cheap play from their opponent for all of 15 seconds before remembering their character can do something even more unfair.
I would like to remind you that every success you see it the result of the dozens of failures you didn't see. This is to say every time Faust gets a lucky meteor/mini faust, there's about 10 times where the game just auto gave the opponent trumpet and completely fucked him over.
Guilty gear is a game where every character is broke and plays in thier own way and I love it for that, and it is some much more interesting then a game where every character is balanced and plays relatively the same, no one whats to go back to street fighter 1 pvp ryu v ken but the are actually just the same character and same moves with different colors.
Listen Leo needs it he is a very underpowered and fair character. (I pray every day him being the least popular character means Arcsys will never meaningfully nerf him)
As a Johnny player, I don’t actually do the super on wake-up. I do it on the opponent jumping in. They don’t expect it because everyone thinks I’ll do it on wake-up
Started playing like 5 days ago as sol and the amount of HMC's I've landed is funny af and even when you miss if you gaslight the enemy into thinking you're going to keep trying you can catch their jump with Tyrant wave, hes such a fun character
Out of all the things you said about every character, I think Testament is both the most accurate and a connection I've never made. They can do the flashiest shit, but the most effect way to play is with huge stringing spam
Good vid bit I just wish you actually gave a short description on Axl, I just hate when ytbers just completetly miss certain charachters in their videos. Im not an axl main but if I was it would be dissapointing to see he didnt have a section for the video
