@Paban Biswas Depending on the shade, it can be welcoming or chilly, tranquil or dramatic or subdued. Blue is an incredibly versatile color it promotes relaxation and tranquility. While it's good for sleeping
For a bedroom with a lot of natural light, I prefer the white walls with pale colors as accents. For a bedroom with limited natural light, I prefer a calming blue or a pale grey color palette. White doesn’t look good in a dark room unless you leave the lights on all day long - this has been my experience. Thank you for the great content!
I'm currently studing Interior Design, and there are a lot of stuff that they don't teach at school that I have learned watching her videos. I love her videos, she is a great designer.
I love the white Japandi vibe or hygae feel for white. I live in the Philippines and it is typical hot or humid. Having bright airy bedroom with indoor plant will really be relaxing
My favorite is the white with contrast being that I'm an earthtone girl. Also, like dark greys with wood accents. Love the the black frame divider wall of the entrance into the bedroom which is very unique. It gives me an idea for my wide entrance off my bedroom. Love the plant ladder. Also love the monochromatic look and what would be cool is to add in a pop of bold color on one accent piece to the room.
Wow, you almost described me. I love these combinations, I love adding natural elements (elements in wood, flowers, plants, etc.) in monochromatic spaces to add movement and color. Thanks for sharing your personal taste, xoxo
I can’t wait to see your house renovation , my favorite color right now is black, white and wood tones , it’s easier to incorporate a pop of color with decor
Hi Barbara! Oh, I'm soo excited about my renewal, I hope to finish as soon as possible! btw Thanks for sharing with me your taste, i am like you, i prefer neutral colors combined with wooden pieces because as you said is very easy add a pop of color!
Hi I have three white walls and fourth is pale blue opposite the window. It is very calming. The best part about this session is the ideas for accessories - wood and metals. Thank :-)
I love the colours you recommended, the first two, the blue and green were what I had on my mind even before I started to watch the video so when you started with them I was sold, and pleased. I liked how you explained the effects they have on our senses.
I like blues. And I would’ve picked gray because of the first video of yours I watched, but when you said “green is pleasing and relaxing” now I want green. I LOVE tropical stuff and I was so drawn to how you paired it off with the gold accents. I can’t believe how bold I feel to actually want to use green in my home. Thanks.
Hey Zahira, thank you so much for answering my previous question in one of your videos. Your input was very helpful. Could you maybe also make a video on how to style and where to place futniture in bedrooms/offices with slanted ceilings? That would be lovely! Thanks.
Hola Leo, It makes me very happy to know that it helped you. Thanks for the topic suggestions, I'll keep it in mind for future videos! Have a beautiful day, a big hug! :D
Thanks for being so professional in the way you deliver your business talk. You have all the potential in all your undertakings. May God bless you more and always!!!
My current home is a very satisfying combination of a light green, a slightly bolder green used as an accent on the architectural wall,. I’m so pleased with this combination I’m going duplicate the colors in my new apartment. I also used a very subtle shade of pink in my current bedroom and those pieces will be implemented in the new space. Thank you for your guidance. A new fan of your esthetic.
This came just at the perfect time for me. I have new carpet and wall paint going into an upgrade on my apartment. Using white paint throughout with mushroom coloured carpet. Now you have given me great ideas about accent colours and timber textures. Thanks💃🏼💝
We are doing earthy greige walls with backwall dark grey to contrast rest. We have wooden elements and furniture already in mind so i was very happy to see it was also suggested here. We will have rustic hanging laps on both side of the bed too.
My bedrooms have always been pale blue and white. Originally I accented with cherry wood furniture but I redid my bedroom last year and kept the pale blue walls and went with off-white furniture. So refreshing and relaxing.
Luv all color suggestions. Currently focused on blue-updating a bedroom for son. He requested blue; so many beautiful blue paints-challenge to get right one for north by northwest facing room. Chose a warm blue -Ben Moore's Gossamer Blue. Educated myself on color theory, value etc -so to create a calm relaxing space. Info re: lighting, working on that now. Enjoy your expertise. In a future video, can you share with us, your choice to marry two career paths architecture & interior design. My sobrina (niece) a talented artist is pursuing an architectural degree. I'd like her to see how another Latina has combined her passions.
I can’t thank you enough, I am very bad with color combinations and I also have mild color blindness so I am always confused about stuffs.. you helped me sooo much in 10 mins ... thank you 🙏.!!
A few years ago I would go with grey, but now I think pink it's gonna be not just very cute in my room, but also fitting and good for me, I already have grey curtains and red bedsheets but I'm gonna make it work. Thanks for this!
Hello , l love navy blue so much because it looks royal and elegant to the rooms and on my room I painted one wall with mustard yellow as my acçent colour so I figured it out that navy blue be the best combination with mustard yellow Like your channel and you
Hola!!
Zahira, a lot of your guidance focuses on what works for home owners. I rent, and still want to improve the feel of "my" home. But I can't do things like change the flooring or paint the walls, etc. I'd love some tips for renters too! Like, how can you decorate a rental mainly with furnishings, drapes, etc?
Hi dear! You're absolutely right, :O thank you very much for your suggestion, I must create content specifically for those who rent! Thanks for the inspiration, I already have that topic on my list ;)
Thank you for this great video whit all the explanation. I preferred with whit dark colors also dark gray there’s more identity on it and sublime touch.
Such a great video, love how you explain things ,with all the different colors you show, along with the furniture and decor....thx so much,lm learning from watching your videos!
Hi Mustafa, Blue! the most relaxing color, it's perfect! Thanks for sharing for taste my dear Mustafa, always it's a pleasure to have you here. Have a beautiful day!
Absolutely adore your videos! A white minimalist bedroom for me every time. My master bedroom faces south in the U.K. therefore I have chosen a slightly cooler white to balance out, natural wood floors, warm toned accessories and touches of black. I think a touch of black can serve to anchor a space. Would love to have a glimpse of your renno! Thanks! X
My God, you're a great designer Pauline! your room sounds perfect, I imagine it and I'm in love. You're right, black serves as an anchor in light spaces. Thank you very much for sharing with me your fabulous master bedroom. xoxo
Zahira, what an amazing job you do, explaining in this organized manner, clearly and exemplified. Congrats, keep on doing these great videos and THANK YOU! White works better for me, but I was wondering which colors are proper for a bedroom with sunrise orientation/view and which are better for sunset view (with very good natural light). Should we take this into account when choosing a color? Can’t wait to see your home renovation.
Hi Ramona, thanks for your beautiful comment and thanks for taking your time to tell me that you like my content. Your question is really good, natural lighting is very important when choosing a paint color, it is really crucial! Normally the color has a "reflective percentage" of 1 to 100, the higher that percentage is, the more light that color will reflect, knowing this you can have an idea of how that color will behave under the circumstances of natural lighting. Even within the "whites" there are many options with different degrees of reflection. ;) Have a beautiful day!
Though I like dark grey, the point you made about natural light is so true and the lack of it in my apartment makes it feel like being in a cave sometimes. Still, I'm a fan of that combo at 8:01, though that gray kind of looks forest greenish with gray sheen, I'd take either, as long as the plum-ish color is represented too. I find it soothing.
I'm a pink lady. My bedroom has a big floral wallpaper with blacks and pinks. The rest of the walls are pink. I have gold accents and the forniture are tor su ton. I love your videos they are very informative. Saludos desde Holanda.
Hi beautiful! Your room sounds so stylish and unique, you have a very interesting mix of textures and colors. Thanks for sharing with me your taste. Un fuerte abrazo hasta Holanda! ❤️❤️
I seriously never signed up for those newsletter popups until last night. You make the information very interesting to read and inspiring (as I'm in Marketing). Thank you so much!
I love the greens and work with it a lot as it is restful in our hectic lives, but have to say I am using more and more the charcoals and then accenting it with one or two other shades but integrate with textures ...
You saved the BEST FOR LAST!! I’m in love with the dark dramatic gray tones!!!! I have those colors in my bedroom now! Sooooo sexy! Planning to add pops of purple very soon! Thanks for the great tips!
Zahira mam you are amazingly fantastic.. I love your every video it is so helpful.. I am an interior designer but still learning.. I love to take your advice on every scenerio.. You are just amazing.. I love your design.. I love you.. Thank you for videos and knowledge which you are sharing its very helpful❤
I am new in to interior design and I am loving it. I decided to learn it because love it. I want to renovate the house I live in. Its a 3 bedroom flat i was thinking of using different colors such as pink ,and blue for the wall paints. And the master bedroom will be yellow green and yellow orange ceiling is ofcourse white. But i don't know if that's a good idea for a room. As the green shown in this video is the one one I like
Hi there, as always I love ALL of your videos and design tips. From the top 5 list, I would pick dark grey however, personally my favorite is black. I love shades of black in interior designs with splashes of gold and rose gold effects. I can't hardly wait for your house tour video. Really looking forward to that. Thank you. Loads of love to you.
Hi!! Thanks for sharing and for all the love! I love dark colors too, in contemporary spaces are a must have! 😍 They are elegant and dramatic. Xoxo! Have a beautiful day!
I have a huge bedroom, planning to use dark blue for the wall in the back of my bed. Regarding green, that is the color that every horror movie use for the walls, I'm a producer, I know, pay attention when you see a scary movie. Also, Lorca, a great Spanish poet, called green the color of death.
