I know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I would love any assistance you can offer me.
The Bee Gees didn't sing this too much in their live shows because Barry said it was a bich to get all the harmonies together. The original was Be Tender With my heart and decided they needed to add a woman's name, Fanny who was their house keeper.
A male co-worker of mine about 20 yrs younger then I (his nickname was mr cool) heard this on the music that was playing, and was going nuts who is this ? I've got to hear more ! So I got him the Bee Gees greatest hits cd , one listen and he was hooked. He gave me a big 🤗 and was so happy , made my ❤️ feel good. Great music!!
I think you'll find there are a LOT of women who love a song like this, and not just oldies. Modern women crave it just as much as the women did back them - real romance, not just the shallow sex or lust most songs these days sing about.
Sounds like he needs to find a better of caliber of woman or move to a better place. Lol. There are still plenty of quality, appreciative women out here for a quality, appreciative man.😂😅
They all showed off their range and falsetto in "Fanny Be Tender With My Love".This song is a favorite of most Bee Gees fans. Those words ,Be tender with my love. Those words are special. They were beautiful songwriters.
Fanny was The Bee Gees Black, Female Housekeeper whom they were fond of. Mo decided to use her name in this song. This information can be found on The Bee Gees website xoxo
You’re right, these days they don’t care about this. We’re living in the wrong time sadly. More and more the music of today does not appeal to me at all, I try to get a spiritual fix by going back in time and listening to these gems on a regular basis. Sad world that we live in currently
You misunderstood, Biz, believe it or not "Fanny" was the woman that they hired for cleaning in their homes. This song is showing their appreciation for all her patience and hard work. She broke down in tears when they sang this to her.
You are right about Fanny being the woman who cleaned their home and she broke down in tears, BUT the song is not about her. They only used her name to write a love song: Fanny, Be tender with my love You know how easy it is to break me Fanny, be tender with my love 'Cause it's all that I've got And my love won't forsake me (ooh) With my love Our love will seal it together Oh, with our love You made a promise You'll always love me forever
This was one of the first songs the Bee Gees did after they discovered their Falsettas. When it was used at the last part of Nights on Broadway the Bee Gees realized the fans wanted this new sound. They rarely performed this song live. Barry did not really want to do it at first but Robin said we need to keep doing it.
I can hear early 70s motown and R&B influences. Definitely; I was in my early teens then and loving this. I hear Barry White, O'Jays, Stylistics, Chi-Lites, the Manhattans and Temptations.
Love Barry using his lower register. He can sing anything. And Maurice singing the chorus Be Tender with my Love at the end was outstanding. His voice is rarely featured. Love him. Love the Bee Gees! Period! One of the greatest groups to ever grace the music scene. Ever!
Oh, what a song. Gives me goose pimples EVERY time I hear it and I’ve been listening a LONG time. It is flawless and effortless and sounds like heaven, a true masterpiece . I LOVE these reaction videos, keep it up…DO STONE LOVE THE SUPREMES!!!!!! Another masterpiece! PLEASE
Don’t know if y’all noticed how usually The Bee Gees clothes are always pressed so nicely in all their videos & concerts…..from their blue jeans right down to their tee shirts! Always a styling trio🕺😂!!!
One of the best songs by the Bee Gees purely from the vocals and instrumentation. It was written with someone in mind to record it, but when Quincy Jones was asked to listen, he said NO NO NO, don't do a thing but put it out there as a Bee Gee recording. Smart man..... LOVE LOVE LOVE this song and its under rated and over looked.
It's funny what you described as evolving sound more like a devolution. That said, no man would put his heart out and be that vulnerable that openly in 2021 either, so we've all likely digressed in some form.
Watch their video at Christmas time in New York under the Brooklyn Bridge singing "For Whom The Bell Tolls".Robin' s vocals are amazing. He has a natural vibratto. They all can sing in falcetto. They are amazing.
As one of the exceptional gals out there. I love the softness of how they sing. Robin especially has that sensitivity needed in his delivery both in the verses and when he says cause its all that I got part. His vocals are so rich. If you listen to his vocals on bodyguard which they did in the 90s you really hear thst sensual quality. Barry and he trade well in this tune prob my favorite bee gee song ever recorded but just FYI they don't do it in concert because the vocals are too layered highly complex. Still its such a beautiful song 🎵 😍 ❤
Nope, Barry and Robin are singing together. Maurice said it was them singing together make a whole different sound then them separately. That he then came in on the chorus.
I had heard How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, and some of the other Bee Gee minor hits, so they were just another group to me back in the seventies. Then when I heard this the first time, my mouth must had been hanging open, and I knew they had hit a new stride and their potential was limitless, so I started buying all their albums right and left. It was a joy to find quite a number of songs I never heard before, which were very good as well. Imagine my further surprise still years later, to buy all the Andy Gibb albums (three), and not a single song you would skip over to get to a better one. And yet all of Andy's songs sounded so different from the others, although it was clearly Andy. Other than the Bee Gees doing backing vocals at times, his music didn't even sound like Bee Gee songs either. Hard to believe somebody actually could surpass the Bee Gees in my mind, but he did it. While I will say Andy made some very good charting songs, and some very good ones that didn't, he never hit a few out of the park like with Fanny Be Tender, but he also had no filler stuff on his albums whatsoever. BTW, while Olivia Newton-John largely ruined the song, the intro Andy did to the studio version of Rest Your Love on Me is incredible (the first eighty seconds). Wow, I just heard it again, and guess what it reminds me of? Bridge Over Troubled Water. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k0Az7mbYkwo.html
Never give up on love brother, people still need to make emotional, spiritual and physical connections with each other, men and women alike; no matter what they say or how hard they try to come off, don't ever forget that. It's hardwired in our DNA and for the ones that don't need that it's best you steer clear of them anyway because the synapses in their brain ain't firing right.
They could never do this song live. It was too difficult to do. The studio version is crazy good. Barry did a lot of add libs in his falsetto voice. He could not sing in his normal voice and do the falsetto at the same time live in Concert, only on the studio album. My favorite group! ❤️
Sorry to disappoint you, but the deep voice in 'Fanny' is not Maurice, it's Barry. Barry's 'Barrytone' 😉. Barry and Robin sing the main vocals here, with Maurice on backing vocals. Barry has a pretty well-developed baritone, which can come as a surprise to those who thinks he only sings mid and high range. You can hear him singing in the same tone at 2:43 of this song. If you want to see Barry's baritone live, You can see it here on 'Nights on Broadway' (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F2SDf42guB4.html - the start of the verses) and 'You Should Be Dancing' (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xI68A-rntIk.html - line before the chorus. This is from a fan-made vid but it's of a 1979 live performance). All that said, I do think Maurice should have gotten more main vocals during their career since he has a fantastic voice, and I'm still hoping Barry releases the solo album Maurice wrote sometime. It would be such a great gift to fans and for Maurice's legacy! 🤞
As the story goes, this song was written by the brothers about a nanny that they thought the world of, and wanted to write a song about her, & when they sang it to her, she was so touched that she cried........The Bee Gee's are such a special gift, that seldom comes our way!!! If you want to see how different their voices can be in a single song, I would suggest, Nights on Broadway!
Ms Fanny was the housekeeper at the home (mansion?) the record company rented for them in Miami when they were recording Main Course. She came in when they were writing the song and they decided to use her name in it. She passed away in just the last year or two.
Some info is on the Wikipedia page for the song, including a quote from an interview. I saw a post on brothersgibb.org (a fan club site that also has a Facebook page) about her passing. It didn’t give her last name, but did have a photo.
Love this Song ! Barry Is So So So Hot ! Barry Has To Be An Angel On Earth! Has To Be ! I Know He's Gonna Be Rockin Us In Heaven With Songs Of Love And Bliss !
I don't mind you stopping the video to react at all. That's the whole point of these sites is the reaction. I want to hear what you are talking about as it happens, not have to try and remember the part of the song that you are talking about. Keep up the reactions bro!
You got robin right. Few do. He sings a lot of the falsetto also. Check him out in When the Bell Tolls it’s outside in New York. See how he transitions
@@zimjun7 I don't think they were miming to their real parts on this video. I hear Robin but this mostly sounds like Barry harmonizing with himself. I think that's why they never did it live. All of their voices are there, I'm not saying this was all Barry, but it was a lot of Barry. Robin did sign low at times though. I think I hear it around 4:58. I'm pretty sure that part at 1:52 he's talking about the switch up is actually Barry though.
Good to know that you love this song! I listen to this a lot of times a day. It's so groovy and romantic at the same time, then there are the trio's voice complimenting each other. Man, I love the Bee Gees so much, and it seems that you do, too.
This video is not really accurate. It is not showing the correct brother for the vocal we are hearing. They rarely if ever sang it live because many of the vocals are layered and none of them could be singing two parts at the same time Live. Some artists have trouble with this now too if they have sung their own backing vocals. People think they are lipsyncing the whole performance when in reality they are singing Live over the backing track.
I just found you. I enjoyed this reaction. If you haven't done Too Much Heaven, you really should. I actually search out reactions for that one! lol. I've already heard someone do it tonight, so I haven't searched yet to see if you've done it. The quality on this one did suck a bit. Still a great song. I will check out some more of your vids. Stay well!
"Fanny" is a favorite of most BeeGees fans . You have to listen to Maurice leading a song called "Closer than close".I would love seeing your reaction to that one. They sang it live in concert. Totally different.
I don't know how to break this to you but you just told a hypothetical gf she's not the end of the line; that for the sake of all women after you, be tender with my love. 😂 Do you see the hypothetical problem here? 😆 Good reaction.
😂😂😂 You are so silly!!!!!! But maybe you do live in the wrong place 🤷♀️ Come on down to VA ... our State (Commonwealth) slogan is “Virginia is for lovers” ... 😂😂😂🤷♀️ Nah, you are probably right though, “women” of “today” wouldn’t even listen to this kind of music. But hey, maybe YOU can change all of that!!! Turn this crazy world around!!! 🤷♀️😂 Seriously though, you ARE picking up new Subs left & right!!!! Keep grinding fam, you definitely deserve it!!!!! Take care & stay safe 💞 Oh, more “funny” than “fun” fact, when I was like 10 or 11 I had a poster of Andy Gibb on my wall in my bedroom 🤷♀️🤦♀️😂😂😂 yep, Andy on one wall and KISS on the other wall 😂😂😂 and The Sugar Hill Gang playing on the turntable!!! 😜😂😂😂 Aight, enough of this nonsense ... I’m out ... 🤦♀️😂😂😂💞
That is the only video there is. There are recordings of the same maybe cleaned up but they never sang it live again. Maurice said they 'Loved the song but it was a b * t * h to sing.' I guess they could not run the risk of it being requested for every concert because they personalised concerts by using the biggest hits in whatever country they were in as well as their classics.
So sad what you said about the way women today would reaction to this song, like you must be soft, easy to manipulate and take advantage of, and the saddest part is "IT'S TRUE", that's why no guy in his right mind would even talk this way to a woman in 2021. Totally different world than when this song was recorded. That said, if you want some classic Bees Gees I highly recommend: 1) Love you inside and out, 2) Love so right, and 3) Run to me.
Yea you live in the wrong place and are confused that women cannot multitask. God the gold ring in life and YOU will respect them but they can be tender we need be.
