We must learn from this group. They made it big cuz they believe in themselves. They keep on aiming for their goals, and they are humble and grateful. Role model
well, let's not romanticize it. You can believe in yourself as much as you want but be not gifted with a voice like Robin's or have image and songwriting talents like Barry.
So talented, witty, smart and polite. My favorite group of all time. It seems as though every interview they are required to answers the same ole questions yet they were always respectful.
These guys are so talented and love their music always a forever fan Maurice and Robin u are greatly missed still listening to the Bee Gees music it's January 7th 2021
If I were to be given a "musical wish" it would be to bring back Maurice and Robin and have all three brothers doing what they do best endlessly. Miss all of them and Baby Andy...they were a huge part of the fabric of our lives...they'll live on through their stratosphereic musical accomplishments.
Couldn't agree more, miss their voices their humour in fact everything, so glad their music is still being played today and being rediscovered by future generations 2023
Think my first "musical wish" would be to bring Andy back.♥️He never got the chance to tour with Barry, as he was outvoted twice by the twins for him to join ('81ish & prior to '87). Wish Barry had taken Andy & started their own group, as would've loved to seen them together!♥️♥️♥️
I have loved The Bee Gees since their early music. Such a loss to have lost Maurice too soon! Always, as one of his last songs says, the man in the middle.
I KNOW MAURICE SHOULD BE WITH THIS WORLD HE PASSED AWAY TOO SOON WE MISS HIM AND ROBIN VERY MUCH THEY WERE THE BEST BARRY IS LIVING IN MIAMI SOMETIMES IN SYDENY AUSTRALIA
Maurice dressed in faded Blue Jeans and shirt...such a freakin' turn on...Maurice does falsetto as well as Barry but they don't mention that enough...saw Mo do Falsetto backing up Barry who couldn't do his own falsetto while singing another track...in live concert Mo did the falsetto. I only know that because someone caught it on their cellphone from an angle standing close to Mo as he was doing Falsetto during "Nights on Broadway"...it blew me away!
Yes, Mo did a lot of falsetto. He had the widest range of voice than all 3. You hear all 3 sing falsetto on Too Much Heaven. Robin had a higher pitch than Barry. Mo's Closer than Close is do great. Pity he didnt sing more and songs that suited his voice. Sings baritone/bass when he sang First of May with Lulu 2002
@@lisadee. l don’t hear anyone rate Mo less than the others. It’s so obvious to most of us that their extraordinary success was achieved cos they were a team.
_The clip of 'Nights on Broadway' from 'The Midnight Special' was broadcast on television with Maurice signing falsetto towards the end of the song. It was 1975, long before cell phones, and is here on RU-vid. It's almost uncanny that Maurice has a falsetto so close to Barry's gift(yet on this live version, it's Maurice Gibb). And it appears on the album version from Main Course._
Yes ...it was said in an interview with all three brothers, I think it was Robin who said in words to the effect whomever wanted to sing lead it really didn't matter and they all did falsetto I did see that coming ncert on video someone took wherein Moe did the Falsetto instead of Barry...the video was shot from Moe's end of the stage. These boys had perfect harmony...perfect put h and could easily switch out and do each other's parts as they were associated with. But it was Robin who encouraged Barry to do falsetto when Barry surprised himself doing it. It's quite comical listening to them talk about all the switch ups they each did. Moe played a few instruments as did each brother. They truly were very special...very gifted boys.
Yes! I saw it myself... Maurice has been constantly underated...but he was very humble and much too kind ; also Mo had other interests that fulfilled him outside of just music and live performances...Barry and Robin only had the music...plus Mo put much more into the instrumental side of it ..which is most important! He just did not seek to get accolades. Barry though takes every chance to promote Maurice... Barry is forever such a really very nice human being...his wife is a very lucky and blessed woman ...and his children too.. Missing Mo forever...😢❤❤❤❤❤
Yes. Some interviews were really done by nerds asking same questions. Some concentrated on negativity and not positive things. The group has to struggle with doing music, these characters and how public will receive them. Stress!
@@marielonsdale1765When Barry's asked questions, he's not going to not answer. And I've seen several interviews where Robin interrupts Barry & Mo, so it goes both ways.
I love these guys ,and all their albums.I love the music from saturday night too.Yes guys bee proud of your albums. No one can ever do IT after you.You Are the best group ever.♥️
The Bee Gees were still on the defensive, years after the "disco sucks" slogan put them on the outs. Thankfully they soon were recognized as the musical geniuses that they were.
Another interesting interview by one of my favourite Aussie compares. Barry looked very tired, and was a bit challenged by the way Ray shaped some of his questions. l was a bit irritated as well. Ray is normally much more intelligent, and respectful with his interviews. Pleased it finished very relaxed and pleasant.
@allymayful Imo Ray and other hosts should have felt very honored to have these 'mega music legends' actually agree to grace their show with a personal appearance....and therefore , to treat them with nothing short of total respect and sensitivity!
+allymayful Thanks for the mention of the Burt Newton interview, Ally. Just watched it and yes, it WAS superb! Sort of helped to soothe my soul, so to speak...because when watching some of the more 'prickly' interviews, I usually start to feel 'on-edge' myself. I think the brothers were always able to handle it way better than their true fans! And NEVER did they lose their composure or dignity..no matter how deep the interviewers dug, trying to get a negative 'response' from them.. Such true 'Class Acts', the Brothers Gibb!...
@Adrienne Gurge true even before then there was a country artist who singed pop a top which Alan Jackson also did after that those jeans became popular again.mo liked country even Barry said him and no wanted do some country but robin was afraid of change that they would fail..now that we have lost mo and robin Barry said he'd like try his hand at singing country. Island in stream with Kenny and dolly did real well at time I didn't know the bee gees had wrote it, they were so talented. What I love about them they wrote for different races, it didn't matter, they had lot love for other artist.if more people were like the Gibb brothers, there be less hate and lot more love.soul not a color its what's inside. They were blessed, very gifted. Their Melody's was very soulful no wonder they had women of every race , color and all kinds of music wanted those Gibb brothers to rock their world.can't blame them they was special indeed..n.a.JJ.
Mo looks so proud for some reason when Barry says that we believe its about the width its got nothing to do with size and I'm just dying here 😂😭💀 (8:44)
05 DE JULHO 2023.😮SÃO 30 ANOS,DESTA ENTREVISTA E PARECE QUE FOI ANO PASSADO; ROUPAS SUPER MODERNAS,E ASSUNTOS QUE PARECEM OS DE HOJE.😊ISSO É INCRÍVEL. ❤BEE GEES ONTEM HOJE E SEMPRE❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 .
@@mariekeung7187 barry is or thinks he's the big shot. He so is not. Robin was and always should have been the main attraction..best voice trendy looks ..barry is a bully and still is...and phony as can be..my opinion,,
_What I think people don't realize is Barry was always the older brother by three+ years of the twins, Robin & Maurice. Not that long ago, Barry Gibb mentioned that he'll always be second fiddle to his brothers (as one, the Bee Gees were unstoppable, and beyond mortal talent to say the least). Sibling rivalry is always prevalent in a family(and the more talent and fame the family has, it's even more so)._
Yes Maurice is definitely sexy...and I also have seen, heard Maurice sing falsetto and he can sing falsetto as good as Barry...don't know why he didn't utilize that voice more in his solo songs...just from watching Maurice his demeanor says that he's not comfortable being in the spot light singing that is because he doesn't have a problem being center of attraction when he's being funny...on the other hand perhaps he didn't want to take any fame away from Barry...there was enough of disagreement between Barry and Robin on who was going to sing lead...Maurice the man in the middle...but he was so talented, all three brother's were talented...they were the most unique group just absolutely beautiful men ,looks and personalities...I will forever miss them...
The Bees Gees Saturday Night Fever music will forever live through every generation to come for as long a humans exist on Planet EARTH...and possibly beyond. All Bee Gees music is infectious and continues to sell to this day.
Barry is very striking in this and so is his outfit. I love his style, literally and figurately, and love the interesting jewelry pieces he chooses. He definitely has a style and an eye for fashion. And to refute those below, Barry was and always will be the main attraction, in every aspect. He is also a really good, kind, generous, humble, loving, respectful man. Not at all like the false person you have made up in your heads. Barry doesn’t have a jealous, mean, bullying bone in his body. That’s all in your heads.
That's so true! Barry had a very kind and loving nature. He was a gentle and peaceful man and a nurturer. His brothers said he would avoid any conflict if he could. He hated confrontation. Look at his long time marriage and the relationship he has with all of his children and grandchildren. They all love and adore him. He loved all of his brothers and they loved him right back. He was very serious about their music and everything he did was to promote and protect their careers. He had a good business sense and was always working to reinvent their sound. When he saw the backlash from the SNF era he told them they needed to write songs for other artists. That decision reaped them untold fame and respectful recognition. Barry could be tough when the situation warranted it He fought singlehandedly for years for the rights to their songs and won. His and his brother's families are reaping the benefits of Barry's strength and determination today. Thank God for Barry Gibb because with out him there would be no Bee Gees.
Barry and Maurice have more of an athletic build than Robin who was too thin most of the time. Look at the broadness of Maurice's shoulders compared to Robin even though he is wearing a jacket. Maurice looks especially handsome and healthy here. That light blue shirt, the tan, dazzling smile and humor...
Prob because Barry & Mo were often outdoors in the sunshine playing sports. Robin was very much an indoors person, which prob wasn't good for his overall health.
They had made their money so at this point they really could have fun making their music without worries of where the next meal was coming from. Like a barn cat, they are happier, healthier and better “mousers” if you feed them….8-).
Bien dit! je ne peut pas repondre en francaise but you said exactly what i (and many others) think. Beyond their obvious handsome looking these brothers show a special inner beauty, an extra value to their great talent that makes them unique!
Kallan: I like than Four BG's and if I love my PlayStation Five of than if that was you will be XBOX 15 Plus Game with being friends of than better could have to be my realisms from big compactions. Jaylen: Yes, well? I had to be very glad to be realism from big carrots from dinnertime and he was being from to me.
Whenever I have energy after work. I play the Bee Gees records and dance until I get tired. That's how I listen to the lively rock n roll music. And when I feel melancholy, I play Robin's sweet Angelic voice, kept me serene and happy. Love Maurice and Robin's natural English accent. God bless the three brothers Robin, Maurice and the young Andy. 🙏 They are now in our Almighty God's love and protection in heaven
Yes they should have Maurice such falsetto as Barry did all the time. More exposure to Maurice should have enough done. Thank tou Silverforever for mentioning that event. Love them all forever harmony voices.
