The Bee Gees chat with Stone Phillips and perform an acoustic medley of early hits on the NBC Today Show/NBC News Today in 1993. #BeeGees #BarryGibb #RobinGibb #MauriceGibb #TodayShow #NBC #StonePhillips
No lasers, no profanities, no light shows, no computerized auto tune, just three singers with boundless talent and a lifetime of practice. For those of you born after 2000 this is what’s called “singing.”
I know of no other group who can sit there grab their guitars and sing a series of their popular songs. I don't mean this in the negative way but it's like perform on demand and they can do it and they sound beautiful. Love the Bee Gees. Their music is fun and it makes me smile.
Katie you couldn't have said it any better ,The Bee Gees are absolutely amazing I can listen to anyway they sing ,my heart is in heaven when I hear them , nothing else matters ,their that great love them always forever 🌺
You would think by this time everyone would know where the name Bee Gees came from, they're asked every single time. What talent! No other group would dare sing with only 2 guitars and harmonize so beautifully.
I see them as kids setting on their bed harmonizing … literally the best composers, singers, producers, gave it all every song… plus, I believe they loved their fans like no other group..
So glad I got the pleasure of hearing The Bee Gees sing and glad so much of there performances and TV show interviews are still available to see They take my heart away when I hear them love you The Bee Gees in my life forever.
I know everybody has there on taste in music and I truly respect that ,but The Bee Gees make my heart stop and listen up to because nothing else matters when they sing they are such a blessing with everything they do and I'll always love them and the music they sing ❤️
I. Love. The. Beegees. Music. Been. Listening. To. Them. Since. I. Was. A. Teenager. And. Now. I. Am. In. My. Sixties. Rock on. Barry. Gibb. I. Am. A. Fan. Forever. God. Bless. You. And. Your. Family.
Such special brothers and singers! It must be strange for Barry to be the oldest but having lost his three brothers who were all younger than him. Thankfully he still has his elder sister. There was always something very personable and likeable about them and that they could be comfortable in high society as well as chatting in anyone’s living-room. Bravo to the Brothers Gibb - we miss Andy Maurice & Robin but are relieved Barry and his beautiful wife & all their families are still with us. Kudos to their late parents for raising these phenom brothers. Cheers! 💖💖💖💖
They all aged with grace....like fine wine. Robin did wear a hair piece for awhile but Barry and Maurice took the gray hairs and hair loss gracefully.....I just love them.....GREAT MEN!!
Irreplaceable..such gracious, and humble guys. They get asked about their name, Bee Gees..probably 1000 times a year, and still answer it with grace. Lovely, loving brothers, awesome family. However, Robin was "the voice", of the Bee Gees.
@@casimirocarvajal4102 Yes. Barry was the leader, the frontman and extremely talented but to me it was indeed Robins Voice that drew me in!! And also Robins quirky and fun personality! And I have to add that I Much preferred Barry's natural deep baritone voice to his falsetto. Especially on songs where he and Robin would trade-off on the lyrics!! #JustSuperb!😎
Barry has a wonderful voice and sings beautifully on his own, Robin has a beautiful voice and sang so nicely on his own, Maurice had a musical voice as well but when they all sing together something even more magical happens.
The world TALENT is defined by these three guys named The BEE GEES! They are old men shown here and hitting all the notes of the songs IN TUNE! NO ONE does this today.
They we’re MEGA, just INCREDIBLE TALENT .they were Completely Unique know one else like them and that’s why they are up there with Anyone, and I Mean Anyone in popular music history ⭐️🌞❤️🙏 and there’s no one who could come anywhere near them today they were really something special ❤️🌞⭐️🙏.
@@_helenadesousa Good men can get annoyed! Yes, I'm sure they were fed up to the frigging gills with people hanging the Disco label on them! In fact they have expressed it many times!
@@gloriamaryhaywood2217 no i mean they really like the questions and dont really think there is a bad one they dont really care bc the disco era in their life was crucial
@@_helenadesousa Yes, it was crucial and set them up financially for life! BUT they paid a very heavy price for that. The Disco Back-lash was nothing short of effing Brutal and lasted for Years and Years! They got plenty tired of having to try and defend that music. The Brothers lost respect of a lot of their peers, who felt they had Sold Out. There is NOTHING at all Wrong with that kind of Pop music, although it is far from my favorite! And YES, it Shot them into Stratospheric Fame, but that Hard back-lash was Waiting for them. There were some great melodies created by them in that era. Too bad they felt under attack about it, and Never really Defended that music! It's more like they felt they needed to frigging 'Apologise' for it!? #WTH. Rod Stewart was also questioned about jumping on the Disco band-wagon and was told that other artists felt he had Sold OUT. Well, Rod wasn't in the Apologizing mood at ALL! Rods comment was "Fuck 'Em!!" They're just Jealous that THEY didn't strike when the iron was Hot!" Not his exact words but that's the Gist!😜 (You can find that short clip here on RU-vid if you look for it!) That's the attitude I wish these Brothers would have adopted. But, truth be told, these brothers were all very nice guys and that just wasn't in their personalities to do that. So they were sitting ducks for idiots to take pock-shots at!#UGH.
They have had to prove themselves. They’ve done a wonderful job of it. I love their personalities. They have a great personality. I could listen to them all day and night, and never tire of them. I love their sound.
My daughter in law kind of got to see them live. Her uncle took them to a casino when she and her sister were little. The venue was there. She and her sister sat outside in the hall, listening to the music and would catch glimpses of them when someone would go in or out the doors. LOL! 😅
Glaube versetzt manchmal doch Berge. 😊
Loved them from when I was 19 ❤️ I heard To Love Somebody for the first time and instantly fell in love ❤️ which is not me. That song and The Beatles - Let it Be 🥲🥲 profound affect 🥲
Oh my...How did I survive all that luscious, dreamy, heart melting, breath taking, toe nail polish cracking, absolutely off the charts yummy Robin? Well obviously, judging by this comment only part of me did. :) All my love forever and ever Beautiful Robin. x
Yes indeed! Disco may have catapulted them into mega fame, BUT they had Massive success way before that with singing those killer ballads!! Their early stuff is my absolute favorite. Although I adore much of their later music as well!
"To Love Somebody" - 1968 - to be called Gerbs & Beanie - unforgettable memories... Jon-jon was first love of my life - Nazis in full might ruling in SA - causing havoc & hatred... but I just cldn't head for nappy-state NSW... let the love of my life go... music really brings up deep emotions... my heart is in Africa...always will be... Brothers Gibb - brilliant talent...Andy too...r.i.p.
I think what he was trying to say was that they became superstars with SNF, not necessarily discounting their fame before ‘77. It’s like the difference between J5/Off the Wall Michael Jackson vs. Thriller Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson was already immensely famous before ‘82 but Thriller was an entirely different level of fame. Same with SNF for The Bee Gees.
The G’s never became famous with FEVER, or maybe for dummies!!Their first #1 was Spicks and Specks 1965/1966 in Australia, and their first # 1 in UK was New York Mining Disaster following by Massachusets in 1967 and so many others followed worldwide. FEVER made the G’s existed in music sphere only for DUMBS as I said..!!! After FEVER they spent their ALL career to justify themselves about their HUGE HUGE talent in music, tirelessly answering same STUPID questions asked by jerk, rat, idiot interviewers.! 🙄 always with smile and nice faces on..!! 🙏 Rob once only lost his temper and wanted to leave a live interview, cos of the same imbecile questions asked. Beside being immensly talented, they were very professional... BG’s FOREVER..!! 💎❤️🇬🇧
