Even Queen was better than the Beatles but just a smidgen under the Brothers Gibb.

I think BeeGees far better musicians and talented writers than the Beatles ever were.

They should be more successful than they are (as far as net worth is concerned), but the post-disco backlash did a lot of damage to their careers.

Always been a Beatles fan, but have thought the same thing for years. Bee Gees songwriting is more complex and profound, their harmonies were stellar, and musical arrangements top notch. Have loved them since late 1960s.

@@andreinamarchini7432 Youl have it all wrong.. When Maurice was. interviewed about Barry, he had some wonderful things to say. If it were not for Barry, there would be no Bee Gees. They would have continued committing crimes and probably would have landed in the criminal justice system permanently. Robin wanted Barry to do the leads because it was so successful for them. Barry really did not like singing leads all the time.The 3 of them came to an an agreement on who woul sing the lead and how the songs would be sung.

I think it was one of his favorite things in life. He had many favorites but getting a chuckle out of Barry was clearly up there.

Jenny Khamp Absolutely. Fever is far from my favourite, yet is the first to come to mind for so many. It was certainly a landmark album, mostly for taking the Bee Bees to new audiences. But they're bigger than SNF.

@@lucindalintz - He always had a big mouth and buck teeth, even as a kid, so the lips grew to accommodate that. BOTOX injections weren't even used cosmetically until 2002 and he had HUGE lips WAY before that. He didn't need BOTOX.

@@susieq9801 I am sure that you are right. The later performances kind of resemble the upper lip “bubbles” seen in aging actresses (to me) definitely not the lower lip which needed no enhancement.

same thing for Robin when Maurice died. Mo was always poking fun of Robin somehow, covering his own ear, or holding his hand up to Robin's throat while he was singing. The 3 brothers loved and remained loyal to each other in a ruthless business and a world that was, at times, unreasonably and undeservedly cruel to them. How many of the idiots who slammed them have been inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame or earned any of their countless awards...hmmmm?

I read that Mo and Robin didn't drop out of school until they were 13. Still very young for anyone to stop their education. But at a very young age they were kids playing in adult clubs. Mo talks about how they shared dressing rooms with the strippers at the clubs, and the girls just changed in front of them. I think they got their sex education at a much earlier age and in different places than most other kids would. I can see why they thought they didn't fit in with other kids in school.

@@BuffbinoTo be fair, at 1:54 it's Barry speaking & begins to say "ya", then Mo interrupts him.....& then Robin interrupts Mo....and then finally back to Barry & what he was initially saying. They often didn't know what Robin would say (such as :45) & they (mainly Barry) felt they had their livelihoods to protect & everything they worked so hard to achieve. Think Barry took protecting their reputations very seriously.

I LOVED Robin since I first heard him when I was a teen in 1967 and he was so eccentric and while not "typically" handsome he was sexy and COOL, a real character with a tremendous sense of humor. He also had a unique speaking voice. To me he was the most interesting personality of the three. They better get someone cool to play him. He also was a chameleon and changed appearances so much over the years. The twins are not always getting the attention they deserve since they died and that is sad but You Tube is getting them more and more new younger fans. Barry is the executive producer and he BETTER be fair about their contribution or I'm going to show up at his door and slap him around, LOL. Actually, although he doesn't look that much like him, Justin Timberlake did a good job playing Robin on Saturday Night Live. With some cosmetic touches I think he could pull it off. Maybe there's someone out there they can find. Rob's son Spencer looks like him but he's too old to play his dad now.

I can appreciate your viewpoint but do not share it. After hearing many interviews, I haven’t thought of Barry as being as you describe. In fact, far from it. He did speak more frequently than the twins and did interrupt on occasion but I imagine that this was established very early and they didn’t have the need, motivation, and/or desire to change it. I really like and respect all 3 men.

I think Barry was focused on getting the truth out. Robin could be a real handful sometimes. Also the twins ganged up on him alot! All 3 of them were funny. Barry was the more serious one who wanted to get the truth out and to get them paid in their early years. He and Robin (the Flame) wreaked havoc before settling down and choosing music over crime. Maurice was the self described "goody two shoes." The story of their lives is amazing!!!
