you should have been around in the 70's, man would you have had a good time in the disco's, dancing till sunrise, getting home, having a drink and a slice of toast and then go to work, boy did I do that so many times !!! good days !!!!!
I was a little kid in the 70s...I lived with my Uncle and Aunt, and oh man I remember my Uncle's Disco parties (he was a Doctor) and I would sneak & peek- the Adults had some serious Fun!
I'm almost 65 now, and it's beautiful to see you experiencing Bee Gee's and Queen song's for the first time. Makes me relive the joy of hearing them. Thank you!
Love that you cant sit still while listening to this classic......this is what it what it was designed for...this is what it does...Sounds the same to me as it did 40+ years ago....takes me back and I like it there!!!!
"Night Fever" brings the euphoric feeling of disco dancing to life by creating a song that brims with hooks. Those Bee Gees trademark falsetto, agile harmonies only add to a sky-high ear candy quotient of hip lyrics and infectious melody.
This is an oldie to you cuz you’re such a youngster, but the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack was tearing up the discos when I was in HS. It never gets old.
Angela, you have entered the huge rabbit hole of the BeeGees. They outsold the Beatles if you can believe that. Legendary, Iconic, Timeless music. For everyone who was born and grew up from 1954-1991, we all know we were spoiled by having perhaps the greatest music of all time as the soundtrack of our lives. Sadly, we might never hear this kind of music ever again, but as it reaches your generation and the generations after, we all know you will come to love it as much as we did. Became a subscriber today! Now. Please react to John Denver "Looking For Space", Carpenters "Masquerade", Moody Blues "Nights in White Satin" and Sade "By Your Side" please. Thank you! :D
I'm going through your Bee Gees list again for like the 20th time. I love how truly happy their music makes you feel, and in turn your reactions make me happy also.
One of the best beats ever! Whenever I’m on a walk and it comes on I get a little extra pep in my step. I love their Disco era songs but you should really check out some of their songs from the 60s and mid-70s. My suggestions would be: To Love Somebody (Barry) 67, I Started a Joke (Robin) 68 (Robin’s voice on this one is absolutely tearjerking), Fanny (Be Tender with My Love) (Barry, Robin, & Maurice) 75 (the harmonies on this one are amazing) and Nights on Broadway (Barry and Robin) 75 (one of my personal favorites). Enjoy! ✌🏼
Love your channel you have such great reactions.Thank you.. Love you inside out... More than a woman... You won't run out of Bee Gee songs. All the guys sing and have great voices.
Wow all of a sudden I'm 8 years old dancing around in my Aunt's house while she's blasting this on her 8 track tape imagine that.. Such great memories back then it really was a fun time to be a kid 🤔
A smile a mile wide… I think this woman gets younger and younger with every old song she listens to…. The 60’sand 70’s were great for music… the advances in technology spurred on the creativity… the bands influenced and inspired each other with each new record… a great time to have been in my teens and 20’s
Brings back the good old days. Hanging down at the club 57 dancing two three hours. The sweat running down my face, my shirt would be soaking wet from sweating after dancing. The women my god the women never letting you rest in between songs. 🥳
Please listen to Bee Gees "How Deep is Your Love" (Official Video) - another musical gem from the Brothers Gibb. If interested in great harmonies, lyrics, guitars and stellar 70's song? THE EAGLES - "Hotel California" (LIVE 1977 version). Back to the Bee Gees, everyone I knew owned the "Saturday Night Fever" album and the songs were playing almost everywhere you went. It was the era where disco ruled and no group was bigger than the Bee Gees. They placed five songs in the Top Ten on Billboard - I'm SO glad I had a truly amazing soundtrack of great 1970's songs for my teen/young adult years!
John Travolta rehearsed his dance moves for around 12 months and most of it ended up on the ✂️ cutting room floor! The guy ruled! Go mr Travolta!! Legend!!!!
Disco was some really cool music and times to live in and experience. It makes me happy to see and know that there are some younger people that are really diggin the tunes like we did back in the day.
Whoever told you that the whole soundtrack to the movie Saturday night fever was all the Bee Gees they were very incorrect yes the Bee Gees wrote the main soundtracks to the movie but there are several other really wonderful artists who have songs in this movie as well and I think when you see the movie you'll hear some of those other songs and understand why the Disco era was as popular as it was back then not just for the music but also for the fact that the music was made to dance to and back then the big thing were dance clubs you could go out and have a good time to dance club get a drink or two and you know spend time with your friends and do your thing.
I'm an Australian heavy/death metal fan and guitar player but this song is in most of my play lists. I was born in 1971 and my mum/mom bought me up on this 70's stuff....Musical talent is very much declining. Love how you love the bee gees :)
"Saturday Night Fever" was the seminal movie of the disco era, though one could argue that it came at the end of that era (in the US - it might still be going on in Europe, depending on how you categorize their dance music). This wasn't the opening song of that movie ("Stayn' Alive" was) but it encapsulated the mood of the movie. The Bee Gees had a long career, spanning a couple decades. This, along with "Too Much Heaven," may have been their defining song(s).
Hi from England just subscribed to ur channel today I love the bee gees try listening to tradagy alone or words I'm also a big horror fan beautiful reaction from a beautiful lady
I feel lucky to have grown up with all the music that was good in the 70s Its good to know how much you love the music I love. You rock uuuh well DIsco
Ctd: lived through the 70’s. Fun times. I also share your tears listening to the love songs of that era. You might try listening to Bread, “Make it with you” or my favourites, “Diary” and “Aubrey”. Love Jeff
Oh all of these songs are part of my music appreciation history. I was already an adult when they hit the scene but I loved them. I discovered later that at one point, before moving to Australia, they lived about a mile from me, they were about the same age as me but I never met them, to my knowledge.
Travolta was already a teen heartthrob from starring in the hit sitcom "Welcome Back Kotter". When he did his first movie "Saturday Night Fever", he became a grown-up superstar.
Imagine being in your early 20's,in the 1970's, and hanging at the dance clubs in the Houston area, the Nesadel comes to mind, and having all these great dance tunes coming at you non-stop.I was an introvert of sorts, but I liked the girls and I learned the key to hooking up was learning to be a good dancer.Boy,I had the time of my life!Thank you BeeGees!
She thinks she's heard of Saturday Night Fever. Every kid in the 6th grade back in my day had heard of it! Found an old school paper from back then the other day. The BeeGees were hands down the winner of the favorite music group survey.
They filmed the dance school scenes on the corner of my block in Bensonhurst, all the girls from the neighborhood loved Travolta, us guys were jealous!
Dam it you got me hooked w/your reactions your a beautiful soul...now we just got to work on my requests.... GEORGE MICHAEL... ONE MORE TRY let's get that out the way and I'll send you more until then.
In the late 1990's my mates and I used to listen to Saturday night fever on record, have some beers and just chill. We were all skaters but this was our Friday night chill out.
When they were recording Staying Alive the drummer had to return to England because of his mothers health. The producers took a section of the drum beat from Night Fever and made loop to play with Staying Alive. If you listen to Staying Alive carefully you will notice that the drum beat is constant, it never changes throughout the entire song.
Hi Angela, from your newest subscriber! Absolutely love your reactions! You seem to be struggling to describe this style of music- in one word: DISCO!🙂 The Bee Gees are widely known as the Godfathers of Disco!
You mention "it gives you that "Stayin' Alive" feeling," and it's really true! Fun fact: When recording Stayin' Alive, the Bee Gees' drummer wasn't available. So, they found a suitable 2 bar drum loop from "Night Fever" and set it up to play on repeat on a separate tape machine. I believe that's the first recording to EVER use a drum loop, which of course is ubiquitous today.
Okay, this is more then a day late but I saw on some documentary that the reason you would get a "Staying Alive" feeling from "Night Fever" is because they didn't have a drummer for "Night Fever" so they took the drum beat from "Staying Alive". It was fun to watch because back then it was reel to reel so it was fun watching them piece it together.
Gotta react to bee gees 80s and 90s music , very different sounding Should see Barry gibb look from the 60s , you wouldn't recognize him lol Thier 1967 hit song To Love Somebody 💘
@Kevin Dobson.... I totally agree about their younger hits. I think that every song off of this album is a hit! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cvKmh_jWC5c.html
I worked as a bartender at a disco during my summer break from college. This, along with all the other Saturday Night Fever soundtrasck, was extremely popular for a good two years.
So many comments about the music style of those times. Yes, those were the days of music you could dance to, fall in love to. I'm in my mid 70s, and those years are the sounds I still listen to. We could understand the words back then. Todays youth, missed so much great rhythm. Love your enthusiasm. 🤗
Love your reaction, Angela 😊 and I love your smile and giggles ❤ so adorable.. pls also check out Subway by them. It is a nice tune as well while driving.
Grew up listening to Soul ,I would never admit to liking the Bee Gee's but secretly l did . 69 now and l confess they were brilliant ,there it's out there.
first and foremost Angela you're looking so clean meaning no tattoos and extra beautiful without even trying you're a sight for sour eyes girl you make eyebrows raise and jawbones touch the ground now back down to earth musically I love the bee gees segment, I'm going to ask you a favor I would love to hear the stylistics segment please and thanks bye
Disco dancing was tons of fun, I remember while in the Marines this all came out and was insanely popular in the base clubs. You would have had a blast.
After Saturday Night Fever, you have to watch the sequel called Staying Alive. It's more set in the 80's and is directed by Sylvester Stallone. It's such a good 80's cheese fest with a yummy Travolta. His body was insane back then!
I have to say this beautiful woman gets the feeling of the music so much. It's unbelievable because this was before our time and for her to get the feeling of the music because I 100% can relate to that. But the fact that she can relate to it is so amazing to me
Wow, how did she know about cruising, because I grew up in the? Los. Angeles area? And I remember cruising down Hollywood boulevard and feeling the music,. How does she know that? This woman is truly amazing
