I am in agreement with you. I'm 66 and, I believe, we were the last generation to have such great music. The Bee Gees are my favorite group. While many went crazy for the hunk Barry, I will keep my heart with Robin. I loved that red hair after he changed it. He was so funny I would have been chuckling all the time. Voices of one was good but put all together those voices were beautiful and fantastic. One of a kind group and sound...🕊💖💞🕊

Well said! Maurice actually was the catalyst when it comes to their melody writing. He would come up with chords on the piano which would inspire Barry and Robin to elevate their ideas to perfection!

Maurice did not want the limelight He sang the songs he wanted to sing. He was not comfortable singing the lead, vocal very much. He felt Robin and Barry should sing the leads! He really loved creating the arrangements for their songs. He was wonderful at creating new sounds. Please do not create conflict when there was none.

Большой талант у всех троих и у каждого свой. А какие люди? Простые и близкие каждому, без звездных амбиций, хотя им можно было больше чем кому бы то ни было. Но не возгордились. Были близки к простым людям и остались. За все это их и любят. Ну а песни и музыка- это особая статья. Гении без приувеличения. 50 лет с хитами разных мастей- не каждый сможет продержаться. Многие сравнивают с Beatles, но для меня Bee Gees стоят гораздо выше по качеству музыки, текстам, аранжировкам, смысловой нагрузке, эмоциональному отклику людей и человеческим качествам.

Agree. The Bee Gees wrote more mature, profound lyrics at a younger age than The Beatles. Their harmonizing and songwriting seem to come easily for these brothers.

And Horizontal, Idea and Odessa outclasses The White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be! Don't get me wrong I'm a massive Beatles fan. They're the second best act of the 60s!

Same year of birth and same first Bee Gees CD. Still Waters is probably their best album ever. Perfect adult contemporary pop music with a great mix and master, too (unlike the follow up which was sadly their final album).

Born in 1980 myself, and began to pay more attention to them in 1993, after the single "Paying the price of Love" came out. After that, I became a fan. Their amazing music and legacy are irrefutable! ❤
