After completing an extensive Annual Inspection, Connor and I take our Beechcraft B-65 Queen Air with the Excalibur conversion up for its first test flight.
Great flight. Looks like maybe a bit of mil-h-5606 came out on the belly and coated the lower com antenna. Can see it progressing farther back on the belly skin.
@@KerryDMcCauley that’s what we like to hear!! Seen aviators cut corners at times usually involving their propeller(s)…the most important part of the aircraft
Thanks for posting that. I really looked forward to hearing those two 720s run. It was impressive. I’m laid up post surgery and my airplanes in annual right now not that I could go visit my airplane but it was fun to see yours fly so thank you very much
You get that antenna to stop leaking? I hate it when they run outta antenna grease. And, I kid you not, The Wife said, "Why didn't we get a Queenie!?!?"
I liked very much, you mentioning autopilot off; circuit breaker pulled. We learned from my friend TNFFlygirl, who didn’t know that, and she and her dad crashed December 7, 2023
Sweet! Nice center-line discipline. Have an hour in one from CNO to LAS in the 90's with some fellow multi instructors building time. Definitely can't afford the fuel burn and wished for more HP but otherwise, I like to brag that I actually have pic time in such a classic beast.
Great news! Now this baby is ready for the great adventures coming up with the Bruce Rivers quest, and to go chase the eclipse! Let the adventures begin!
👍✅ Tks for the ride a long, great video. Would be good to check the audio before you publish, not a big deal if its too loud or too low but through out when you have to go to 100% to hear cockpit coms then get blasted with outside audio volume it kinda sucks. Seems like every RU-vid aviation channel has to deal with this problem, right of passage I guess. Tks Kerry, love the Queen Air
Great to see the bird in the air - Classy machine - just an observation - and I am no Aircraft tech but that lower antenna looks loose from the belly cam. Not saying it is just looks like it.
@@KerryDMcCauley Thanks Kerry -Just wanted to make sure. Enjoy watching your exploits since I came across you on "Dangerous Flights" Best wishes from the UK
