Aaah yes the dying breed of the lesser spotted rivet counter!

Don't worry about the rivet counters. You're doing a great job and have a very entertaining RU-vid channel!

I think your Layout is really superb, and without doubt along with Mouldy Raspberry are the best on RU-vid, beautiful modelling with wonderful attention to detail, I don't know how to advise you on the derelict Buildings but whatever you decide will look great, best wishes, Colin.

Great work..... Keep the farm buildings in the same paddock. I like them all close to the bottom end of the paddock. In line the buildings will offer a mid-scene break. Try the orchard in that flat paddock across the lines.

It's your railway, so do whatever makes you happy. Rapido Trains has embraced the freelancer by creating an ever-growing line of ROLX rolling stock. They call it the Railroad of Lies for all the guys with their own fictitious railway. It began as a joke, which Rapido is wont to do, but it's a really fun idea. I like it, anyway. Thanks for posting updates on your "Railway of Lies".

Morning Andy, I wouldn't worry about the build up joins at the base of the derelict buildings. All sorts of scrap and bushes will be dumped and grow around there which will hide any join. I would leave all the derelict buildings together in that area because they have been abandoned because the railway has made them inaccessible. The farmer has been paid a handsome sum by the railway company 🙂 Brian

Good point - maybe add a rusty old tractor and some farm equipment, to add to the sense of abandonment. But what a great layout!

Hi Andy , just a quick message to say thanks for what you did in you're video saying my partners son Thomas. He is over the moon a out having his name mentioned. He thinks that me and him are famous now lol. Once again thanks fir what you did . Regards Graham Davis. I wish my layout was as good as yours

The new field dont really need a gate, it could be off scene. A shed that looks like its been their from early Victorian era that has seen better days. A rusted out horse plow amd a collapsed roof would add some visual interest. But thats just my thoughts. Its your railroad, its coming along nicely. 🎉🎉🎉

Hi Andy. Great job buddy. Wish I could make my static grass stand up like yours. Good decision with the fence rather than the wall. Great update Andy. Shame your not going to GETS. Thumbs up thumped 👍 .... Pete....

Hi Pete, if you are having trouble with your static grass, most likely the mesh is too fine.

The layout continues to grow and makes for an excellent railway. I like how you show the products used it genuinely makes for an informative video as well as am enjoyable one. I use the Osborne Models AL00201 cotswold stone walling too. Not cheap but worth it. I wonder if an area set aside for an allotment might offer fine detail more videos and products reviewed. You don't offen see a ploughed brown earth field it makes for a change from grass. I watched David of Horsehay Model Railway #12 use a Busch HO 1204 Weizen Feld / Wheat Field to good effect. I'm with you all the way about what is or isn't prototypical running locomotives and rolling stock.
@steveclark7971

Eventually I am planning on having a ploughed field with a couple of traction engines pulling a plough.
@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway
@dinmorejunctionmodelrailway 19 часов назад
@steveclark7971 While there is nothing wrong with fields or grassed areas. For me, a ploughed field or allotments where lots of little pieces of detail can be added. As always, rule 1 applies it's Grandad's railway.

As a cheap option for undergrowth,once the dog has ripped up its toys ,I use the fibre filling.similar outcome.plus the toys are only a £1 odd.

Looking good enjoy your video’s fantastic layout. I love it as it’s steam and not just modern image. My layout is very much still in the track laying stage. However I need to do a bit of work on a back scene. I noticed you have used Scale scene retaining walls, were they easy to build use, did you buy the card kit that someone else produces for them or do you have any other advice methods tips etc for building and using them. Thank you

Just started raining where you are…. finally stopped here after what seems several months! All good progress and lots to do but still good just to run trains. With the “field” over the tunnel mouths, why not use it for something a horse paddock with show jumps or some other sort of interest? Justifies it being a bit flat and open then?

Can't believe it's already been a week!!! Great update as always, very jealous you can run trains, I'm miles off that If that chappie doesn't like it, then member rule 1 If you can't make GETs you have Caistorail this month which from memory isn't too far from you
