Guys, I made this today. Though took time , the dish was absolutely a treat. It came out so well and delicious. Just ate with plain basmati rice and it was so good. This will indeed be my all time favorite beef recipe Guys pls do try this , but follow the cooking time correctly. Thanks for this recipe
This is came out really good. Truly worth all the preps and time spent making this recipe. My whole family loved it and nothing was left! I ate this with plain basmati rice and it was delish. Once you add the potatoes I suggest increasing the cooking time. It took me 20 minutes in low heat to be tender enough. Other than that everything was perfect! Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe❤️
Question after you add the meat , 20 later you have VERY MUCH LIQUID .....but u d not say add water ?????? Where does all this liquid come from....certainly not the onions one??????
I'd advise you to use hot water wherever water is being added. It will make the dish taste better. An other thing is , red chilli powder is mainly of two kinds. If you do not want your dish to be too spicy please go for Kashmiri Chilly powder which will give the curry a great red color but doesn't make it spicy at all. If you have not prepared it yet, please do try it this way,Mary .
Do you wash the beef before frying, Since moisture is bad enemy of browning and it releases lots of water if you fry after washing. What do you recommend?maybe just paper dry the pieces?
I remember making this for my husband a few years ago and he said it was the best curry he has ever tasted. It’s been a few years now and I’m ready to remake it for my hubby ❤
@@annabeltheunicorn9374 we generally prefer a medium heat, since many of the ingredients are caramelised and slow cooked. so, don't heat your wok to red hot. thats good for a stir fry.
Over all how long does it take to cook the beef ?I am making it now the process is simple but cooking time is long . If I put in the cooker how long do you need to cook the beef for 1-2 -3 whistles then on low for 10 min ??
if you're hoping to make a South Indian meat curry, a mix of roasted cumin and fennel powder, and some coriander seeds powdered. Thats pretty much all the flavour ingredients you need. you can use green chillies for heat, or pepper, even. happy cooking. happy feasting
I seem to be doing something wrong with the cumin seeds😢 should they cook down into like a paste? Mine we still in the seed shape and black and taste terrible which ruins the rest of it 😩
Ok I didn't even know there was such a thing as curry leaves. And the seeds and the powders where do you get those things from? Can you substitute the yogurt with heavy whipping cream or sour cream? Sorry lots of questions I know. It looks so good! I wanna try it.
looking at the title i was sure i would find some hateful comments below..surprisingly glad to see no such comments..of course i dont eat beef but waiting for delicious recipes for other meat items in this channel..:) :)
I made this today for my husband's lunch box. It looked so good. I don't eat beef. My husband is an Italian and he loves beef. So I cook for him. This recipe helped me to make a delicious beef curry. Thank you for sharing. 💗 So much love from Italy.
To complicated with all those ingredients, just use curry powder and tin of tomatoes, whack in tin of potatoes at the end . Be all night flaffing around with that.
Only joking but could you please tell me how you stop garlic burning. Every chinese and other wok foods insist wok red hot. When i do that garlic burns to a brown cinder instantly no matter how i stire HELP
