Beef Fry without Garam Masala:
2 lb Beef
For Marinade:
1 Chopped onion
4-5 Grated garlic cloves
2 tsp Grated ginger
1 tbsp Black pepper
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 to 2 tbsp (1.5 tbsp) Vinegar
Salt
For Sautéing:
3 + 1 tbsp Cooking oil (1 tbsp oil almost at the end of cooking)
2-3 Dry red chilies
2 Large sliced onion
6 Grated garlic cloves
2 tsp Grated ginger
1 tsp Red dry chili flakes
1-2 tsp Crushed black pepper
2-3 Sprigs of Curry leaves
1 tsp Sugar
(Add vinegar, 1/2 c water, salt, Sugar as needed)
Garnish:
Chopped/sliced onions or shallots
Lemon wedges
(Tips for this recipe: sauté the meat in low heat, stirring frequently towards the end of the cooking process until you get the desired darker color. Add 1 tbsp of more oil if it’s needed. Add 1 tsp sugar. Please make sure to add 1-2 tbsp vinegar when you cook the meat).
