The Platinum exterior body looks slimmer and sportier doesn't it? Put a black TUNDRA insert in the tailgate and that will look amazing! I love the color too! Man that is one fine looking truck!
Nice looking truck no doubt Toyota will take care of you if any issues with turbo waste gates etc as this is a new everything truck. I have a 2015 SR5 plus double cab 4x4 5.7 with the off road package and so far 7 years and about 130 000 Km's or about 80 000 miles in central Canada I have only replaced the belt tensioner, belt and battery plus regular service. Although Canadian and American pricing is totally different I am curious out the door what kind of ball park cost and was there any negotiations in this tight market. Enjoy the ride.
Nice to hear about Toyotas reliability. Hard to give you a ball park #. Most dealerships are selling over MSRP anywhere from 2k to 20k. I think the average is like 5k over MSRP but then again I’ve heard some people in some groups talking about how they bought their Tundras at MSRP.
I paid MSRP minus military rebate for my Platinum. With advanced package, power running boards bed step, air suspension, HUD, all weather floor mats, spray in bed liner, and door edge guards, $66003 - $750 = $65263 OTD with the delivery charge added. We are lucky in central PA to have reputable dealers not adding market adjustments.
The v6 generates more hp and torque than the v8. Mpg is better but not by much. Honestly I only got this truck bcz my Tacoma didn’t have the balls to pull my camper. Never had a v8 so I can’t relate
The new truck isn't better not when the axles are falling off and the bolts are coming loose it doesn't really get that much better gas mileage it depends on how you drive it
@@rubbertoe3847 those are worse numbers than before really doesn't justify in buying one then the 22 is a disappointment not a world beater like toyota promised
Open the door and look at the sticker that shows rear axle weight. You will notice it is NOT bigger or beefier than previous Tundra's. Look at the integrated (not stand alone) Trans cooler. Look at the absence of tow hooks . I guess this truck never gets stuck or doesn't need to pull anyone else out either. Wastegate problems ? lol. If you have a TRD package ,its only missing the U. I have owned a dozen Toyo trucks, but will be keeping the 12 and 13 Taco and Tundra I have now.
@@svang1991 Not just his, ALL 22 Tundras. lol. I have an old vette and a cadi also. I can drive anything I want , but don't see the need to waste money on inferior products. Seems older is better with a lot of things.
I found a dealership that sells high volumes of Toyotas so that helps. I did begin making calls on 11/05/2021 when I found the dealership. This truck arrived to the dealership on 1/24/2022.
These trucks look even worse in person than they do in pictures and videos. Take a close look at the misaligned plastic body panels and that hideous front grill that belongs on the front of a mack truck or diesel locomotive. The plastic bumpers are a major turn off, as are the lack of tow hooks and 4A. Back to the design board Toyota. Only a fanboy could love this truck. It took 14 years to come up with this? Lol
Bigger? Beefer? Better?... its actually smaller inside!....it's got no tow hooks and a useless rear bumper and its ulgy AF.....sorry bro that thing is HIDEOUS
