Rocky Stubblefield, grandson of "Stubb" himself, and Scott Jensen, of Stubb's Legendary Kitchen, show you how to make their famous Beer Can Chicken, Stubb's style.
heineken half full with old bay mixed in, cyan pepper, garlic power, onion power, celery seed, paprika and oregano mixed together for the out side and half an onion stuffed in the neck is how i do it and its GREAT! juicy and tender and full of flavor.
Thank you for reaching out to us. Our sauces, marinades and rubs have been all natural since 2008. They do not contain MSG, high fructose corn syrup nor sulfites. Could you provide us with the best buy date on the bottle in which you saw MSG so we can further research this issue?
@Stubbsbbq your welcome, i actually made 2 chickens yesterday using this and before i cooked them i marinated the whole chicken in a red wine ,chipotla and fresh crushed garlic mix (blend in a blender) over night and my friend next door insisted i leave the left overs at his house. haha give that a try.
Couple pointers: While you have the cooking spray out, give a once around the can. It will help make the chicken just slide off when done. Also, let the chicken rest for 7-10 mins before slicing into it. Otherwise you'll lose all those juices you've worked so hard to produce.
i didnt trust the ali cans, cause i do a beer can chicken every weekend, so i went an got a beer can holder, and a stainless toothbrush holder, from which you can remove the top for cleaning and has 4 holes in the top for your toothbrushes,it works awesome, and ya can take the lid off and put herbs an stuff in as well, yiiipeeee
i found that the rub on the bird for a good 24 works best. Same with a ligher beer. i also think ROCKY should grow a sweet 'stache like his grand papi.
