Stella is a decent lager...I'm just bummed out that it's no longer brewed in Belgium, Another good beer gobbled up by Inbev. Great review though... Cheers!
Look, I'll drink a fosters, mainly in summer and with food! Stella is on a different level, it's the benchmark lager, if you find something better, it must be a blinder! I've always got an apricot taste from Stella.
I love how there is no response in how it was. Guy went on the bender to end all benders. It all started with one Stella and ended up prize fighting in Phuket
Great review Paul! Along with Heineken, this is one of my favourite mass produced lagers. Have you tried Furstenberg? Nice Bavarian bottom fermented lager. Widely available in Asda.
Had the 4.6% after I finished work this afternoon. Completely different to the Stella I was drinking 20+ years ago. That higher percentage version used to make me feel aggressive and I would always have a banging headache the next day after a few pints. This version was pleasant, easy drinking and refreshing, perfect for an after work beer and it was not too carbonated which is a big thumbs up from me. Rating 8/10
Hi mate, any chance you could review stormtrooper ale I’m interested in what you think about it as a lot of people don’t think it’s very good but I find it refreshing
I’ll have a look for you mate. I’ve only seen it in a B&M store. Don’t suppose you know where it’s available do you, as B&M’s stock is about as predictable as the weather? 😆
American version no maze,5% AVB, buy only in cans, no green bottles for me, that sunk just is off putting, still confused why breweries still use green or clear bottles, cans are always the way to go for beer, all beer
Not a fan, tastes and smells like corn (maize). I don't know why beer people think this is decent then make fun of other Euro lagers. It's 5.2% here in Belgium and its not that great even on tap. Actually most Belgian beers are adjunct beers. They love adding various sugars (corn, glucose, candi-sugar) to beer here... probably 95% of the beer in Belgium has added sugar and I don't like it. Adds an off flavour, which I find unappealing. Also, nobody puts a decent lager in a green bottle: Hops + UV = skunk/nasty.
Need to paint your home. Magnolia is the worst colour in photos and film. More home-like with a pale coco-brown colour or grey. Or even white, with a few bold decorations.
